An absolutely fantastic keyboard for the money
I have the nicer, hot-swappable RGB K10 model for home, and I wanted something similar for work but without all the bells and whistles. The Gateron Pro Brown switches are smooth and solid without being too loud. Keycaps have are textured but not rough (K10 keycaps are super smooth; I almost prefer this). The white backlight is nice, for dimmer work areas without adding RGB cost, and I never actually move my keyboard around, so unless you actually intend the keyboard to be mobile, the C series (which is wired only; USB-C) is perfectly fine and saves you some $$. Overall, while there are plenty of good mechanical keyboards, including some nicer Keychrons, I'm not sure there's a better choice for a basic, high-quality fullsize.

Great keyboard for the price!
Well constructed, easy to customize config and straightforward connection/setup. Highly recommend! The key sound is not too loud, but the tactile feel of the brown switches is essential. Overall great product

Very comfortable typing experience but weak battery
The typing experience is excellent, I changed the keycaps after about 3 months of use, and it became more comfortable to type. However, the battery lasts about a week only after 4 or 5 months of use now, I have to connect it constantly to keep it powered. I used a G915 for years; typing was not this comfortable. It was ok, but the battery in that G915 used to last for more than a month. Also, last month, the A and T keyes started double typing (before I changed the keycaps). I tried resetting, opening keycaps, and ultimately changing them all, but it didn't work. So I changed those 2 switches with other keys that are never used, after that typing is ok.

A competent keyboard with a few minor quirks
A competent keyboard with a few minor quirks. The brown switch keyboard preforms like other brown keys I have used. I use it in the wired windows mode. There are 8 key set for Mac and window, esc along with a key cap puller. It also comes with a cloth braided USB C-Am cable. Quirks: It can only wake from sleep or monitor off with 3/4 of the keys. Not spacebar. The NumLock light remains on in sleep (Bios dependent?, ErP?). The function key labels (F1, F2 ..) are not well lighted due to the led at the top of the switch. I recommend SharpKey app to remap the keys. (not all keys) It uses the windows registry method so no macros or shift-X stuff. I always switch CapLock and Ctrl (due to my Unix days). It has 18 light pattern to choose from but are not described in the manual: These are my names with KP=key press. 0- off, light key with KP; 1- All on, temp off with KP; 2-Moving sine wave; 3-Off, explode outward from KP; 4- off, horizontal explode from KP; 5-off, Vertical wave with KP; 6- all on; 7- slow sec fade in/out; 8- off, ring with KP; 9- Fade in/out wave, 1 sec; 10- Fade In/Out horizontal wave, top to bottom; 11- Fade in/out circular wave; 12- random key light then fade away; 13- fade in/out vertical wave right->left;14- quick key blink (random?) ; 15- traveling wave left->right top-> bottom; 16- diagonal quick wave bottom left to top right; 17- fade in/out sloshing water

Good Bang for the Buck
Overall, my initial impression of the C2 is that it's a high quality keyboard for the price. I've been shopping keyboards for a while now and keep coming back to Keychron because of their design, variety of offerings, and large customer base. Being new to mechanical keyboards, the extra key travel and louder typing sound will take some time for me to get used to. Likes: - Quality build with solid construction - Stabilizers seem to work well, no noticeable wobble on the larger keys; I'm a mechanical keyboard newbie, so your experience may vary. - Backlit, with multiple effects, dimmer, and effects speed control - USB C to A adapter included - Packaging, gives a premium feel - Customization options (white or RGB LED, hot swap or soldered, wide range of keycaps and switches to choose from). I went with the white LED, brown switch, non-hot swap version. - Keyboard lights turn off when computer goes to sleep (most of the time). Worth Noting: - There are a few undocumented features. I found out about LED brightness (fn+F5/F6) and effects speed controls (fn + -/= left of Delete) via YouTube reviews, there are probably others. - Keyboard is louder and keystroke travel is longer than I expected; keep in mind this is my first mechanical keyboard. - My typing accuracy took a hit when switching from a standard low profile $20 Dell keyboard; probably just takes some getting used to. - Some of the keycap label decisions depart from the norm. * Directional, Home, End, PgUp, PgDn, Insert, & Delete labels are missing from numpad which makes for a cleaner look. * Backspace, Enter, and Return keycap labels are very similar (not a fan) Dislikes: - The black keycap labels are somewhat blurry and difficult to read in most lighting situations with the backlight off; to their credit, Keychron has explained this thoroughly on their site. - LED is too bright for me on lowest setting which seems to be around 50% or so; with 5 levels, a better choice would have been 20, 40, 60, 80, & 100%. Perhaps this is something Keychron could address with a firmware update someday . . . hint, hint! - Dedicated Cortona button (yuck) Bugs: - The keyboard I received occasionally remains partially lit when computer goes to sleep.
