Horrible description of item and worse customer service
There is nothing in the description that says that this item has a "stop pin" stamped inside of it that keeps you from installing accessories that are meant for this hitch. I purchased this product and since I am not swimming in money, it took me almost a mont to get around to having it installed. I got home and went to install my 2-bike Yakima bike rack with 1 1/4 insert and the hole didn't line up. After some minutes online I found a message group that mentioned that there was a stop pin that was intended to keep people from installing anything larger than a Class I accessory (like a 4-bike rack). The problem was that I had a Class I accessory and there was no reason for it NOT to fit.I called customer support for the seller and was smuggly told that the stop pin had been in the hitch for "40 years."Well, I had never purchase this or any other hitch before so how was I supposed to know since they failed to mention it in the Amazon description.I was then told my the customer (no service ) rep that all I had to do was "grind it down or return it" I had no idea what "grinding" was and I would have had to pay more uninstall it, return it, order another hitch, and have the new one installed AGAIN than I paid for this one.I found out what grinding was and had to end up purchasing an angle grinder for $40 and grinding a notch in my bike rack to get it to fit around the stop pin.Although I am now happy to be able to carry my bikes without disassembling them with this product, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND that anyone else purchase this item from this vendor until they decide to disclose ALL specs for the item and get a lot better in dealing with paying customers.

TLDR: no fitment issues, scroll down for instructions.
Packaging 2/5Hitch was just thrown into a box with nothing supporting movement during shipping, however box was very thick and there was no damage to the hitchInstructions 4/5Good for a quick, general guideline, but nothing ever goes as planned. There were a few steps you can skip and one that needed to be added.Hitch 5/5No complaints, hitch fit 100% without any fitment issues. It will lower your ground clearance about an inch.My instructions:My car is a 2010 Prius. Will most likely be the same for 2010-2015 Prius without the TRD appearance packages.Tools recommended:2 Jack Stands/lift3/8 ratchet3/8 extension10MM socket17MM socket19MM socket10MM Flex Head Box End Wrench17MM Flex Head Box End Wrench19MM Flex Head Box End Wrench1: Rack up the car.2: Remove rear tow hook bolts (17MM) on Drivers side of car. Discard tow hook.3: Unbolt the rear exhaust/muffler hanger bracket (17MM). Recommend using a 17MM flex head box end wrench. Swivel the bracket towards the rear of the vehicle and let it hang out of the way.Instructions stated you needed to remove the rear hanger from the hanger bracket, you can skip this step.Instructions stated you should not let the exhaust hang freely, ignore this, exhaust is firmly held on by the second rear exhaust hanger.4: Remove Exhaust muffler heat shield. Held on by 1 10MM nut and 2 10MM bolts. Use a flex head box end wrench.Heat shield will get in the way of the hitch and potentially cause rattling noise if not modified or removed.5: Time to mock up the hitch. Start by setting the right side of the hitch on top of the exhaust muffler for support. Then hand thread the included 19MM bolt with a washer attached to secure the left side of the side. Once you are a few threads in, go ahead and head thread another bolt into the passenger side of the hitch above the exhaust muffler. Make sure you swivel the exhaust hanger bracket back into place before threading in the bolt. The hitch will be sandwiched in between the frame and the hanger bracket.Once you get the first bolt on both sides in, the rest is cake. You will need to use a 19MM flex head box end wrench to secure the bolts on the right side above the exhaust muffler. You can use a 19MM socket and extension to secure the bolts on the left side of the hitch.Double check the torque on the 4 bolts and you’re done!

Hugs car
This hugs my 2014 Prius close to the underbelly and doesn't stick out too far behind (no bruised shins) and it's super sturdy. Price was great, delivery fast, packaging fine. I had my mechanic install it because we didn't have a deep enough socket wrench if I remember right. In hind sight, it would have been less expensive to just buy the tool as it wouldn't have been difficult to install at all. My husband was able to lay under the car without propping it up, though it is very heavy so a helper would be nice to help hold it up while using tools. Comes with the receiver and pin, so no need to buy extra parts.

Great hitch receiver
Bought this for my son's Prius so he could pull a light fishing boat. I've had a number of Reese hitches over the years and never an issue. This one fit well and will do the job for a long time. A fair price for a top notch product.

great fit on 2014 Prius
kinda hard to install by yourself (heavy), and I do wish the tongue didn't stick out as much (an inch too long past bumper) but works really good and a great value. There is one that fit inside the underside cover which would be more aerodynamic but at 3-4x the price I don't think so...

Took some time to get installed on 2013 Prius (took both husband and I to get some of the bolts but we did it!) but now that it's on we've had no issues and taken it on a number of long haul trips.

Decent product for the low cost
The supplied bolts were difficult to thread in and used my own high quality bolts instead. Receiver tolerances are way to loose and most accessories will need an anti-wobble device.

The advantage of this hitch is that you can install it without having to cut the plastic shield on the bottom of the car. It took me about 45 minutes from start to finish to install it. All I had to have was some socket wrenches and a couple of cardboard boxes to support it during the installation. Despite what the instructions say, you don't need to remove the muffler during the installation. I was able to simply pull the muffler away by stretching the rubber mount.
