Quality product at a good price
Bought to use on my Subaru Outback which has had an engine fault light and was running in limp mode. The scanner connected easily to the OBD port and recognised the vehicle and its VIN code. Easily scanned, found and deleted a few outstanding fault codes due to recent battery replacement.DPF fault code and associated limp mode also highlighted. Ran engine to check DPF differential pressure which was outside of tolerance. After a regen’ of the DPF, pressure was back to normal. Deleted fault codes and all running well.Very pleased with this purchase .

Wireless and universal ODB2 tester.
I have always wanted an OBD2 tester, so I don't have to go to the garage every time an error message appears. You can often solve the problems yourself, if you know what it is about. There are many OBD2 testers from cheap to very expensive, with a cable connection or wireless. This one is wireless and that is also easy. It is certainly not cheap, but for me it is still doable. This is also a universal one, not focused on a car brand, what do I do if I buy a car from a different brand. You enter the details of your car via the menu of the TOPDON and your WiFi internet connection. Then it is a bit of searching and trying and it goes automatically, it is not that difficult. What I did have a problem with was the password. Nowadays we are used to using a broad password, small and large letters, numbers and symbols. But no, this just wouldn't work, until I found out that a simple password was fine. There must be a reason for it.It is not the most comprehensive, which are also much more expensive, but that is not necessary for me as an amateur. With the cheap ones it still happens that error codes are not recognized properly. I am very satisfied with it, so far everything works fine.

Where to start! Well here’s where to start the car started so major result! What a bit of kit this is. I’d been wasting money guessing and using YouTube as to what was wrong with the vehicle, had already got an inferior obd code reader but his is way way more, my car didn’t even have a check engine light on but one quick health scan with this bad boy and I’d got more faults than andy Murray! It’s very easy to use, gives loads of information, links you to YouTube for suggestions of fixes, generates reports for information or to send to garages and saves a whole lot of time and messing. I even recoded my injectors with it, definitely a must for all car enthusiasts and one of the best things I’ve bought. I always rate things on if I lost it would I buy it again! And in this instance yes I would. Tremendous value for money! One top tip tho once it’s scanned your vin and picked your vehicle it’ll give you a list of number / options. Took me a while to figure out this is asking you to pick which Ecu you have, it’s critical to have a look and pick the right one so the device can communicate and work properly, once I’d sussed this I was flying, oh and driving again!

TOPDON ArtiDiag800BT total con
To start with why is the Topdon 800bt reviews mixed in with the simple AL200 OBD scanner they sell for £25. One is a simple OBD scanner for £25 and the other a do all tool for £400+I would think it is to mislead people into buying the more expensive tool which is £400+I have 2 cars which are both Suzuki and on neither car would the auto vin work.Yes it has all the car makes listed which all looks good but just how many of its functions will work with each car.Very very few from what i found. To test out i tried 2 of the maintenance and service options and surprise surprise on both functions Suzuki was not listed, in fact the list of cars for the chosen functions was very very small.Yes they cover just about every car if used for a simple OBD scan which any scanner can do for under £20 but try and use any of the functions and very few makes and models are covered.Yes i did all the updates.I email Tomdon support friday and get a reply on Sunday to say they do not work weekends and will be back in touch when they start work. 3 days later still no contact.Watched a lot of utube reviews on this before buying and they were good and they include links to take you to Amazon to buy. Just how many of these reviews are honest? Not many i think and not surprised if they get the scanner free for a good utube review.Topdon support, what support?Total waste of money and a device costing a fraction of this could do the same job.Nearly all cars covered doing a scan but very very few covered if you want to use any of the other functions.Save your money unless you are after a £400+ paperweight.High amount of good amazon reviews are because they have linked their cheap scanner to the ArtiDiag800BT.Will be sending this back to Amazon as i feel i have been conned into buying this by Topdon.Update a week or so after leaving this review.Sent back to Amazon for refund- Thank you Amazon.Topdon support never did get back to me so dont rely on any support from Topdon. You can get the 800bt (same as this with lifetime updates) from a well know auction site for a buy now price of £250.

Ease of use!
This is the first scanning tool I have ever purchased and I have to say very impressed with the results, identified problems with the dashboard on my Daughter's Ford Focus so it paid for itself immediately!Very easy too use with intuitive menus, defiantly recommended for value.

DTC faults
I bought a car from a dealer and subsequently had a couple of issues. The dealer said that the DTC were historic faults which he cleared. So I bought this device to see if the faults would return. Sure enough the same faults returned, so after emailing the report to myself and presented the dealer with this report, my car is booked in for the faults to be rectified by the dealer. So this tool has proved invaluable. Although there’s a lot more learning to do on this tool before I could give a full working opinion the tool is easy you use, the email feature is cool and I’m looking forward to learning all the additional features of this tool.
