Good Historial Drama

This book was up there with the best of Ken Follett's fast moving novels, set mainly in Afghanistan during the Russian invasion, illustrating the extreme terrain and the tough way of life. This was my 14th Ken Follett book and only one where I thought the sex was a bit over the top, be it that it was in just in one place.

Another fascinating red from Ken Follett. This is an author I have only discovered this year and having now read several of his books I am enjoying them immensely.

this would make a great film

Thoroughly enjoyed the book, great holiday reading, the plot is a little implausible and my husband didn't like it but I thought it was a good light read, it would make a great film as it has all the ingredients including the end!
