Niteangel 5L Forest Moss Soft Natural Moss Bedding Nesting for Dwarf Syrian Hamsters, Gerbils, mices, Degus or Other Small Animal

I put this moss onto top of a cardboard hide in my hamster’s cage and it looks so cute, just a little more natural and less sterile. You can put it on top of various hides, bridges, and bedding for a different texture in your ham’s enclosure. Adds some nice color and smells really good!

My hamster likes this forest moss a lot. He already is using it for nesting! Obviously not suitable for main bedding, but a great addition to put around their enclosure. As with any substrate, I recommend freezing this for a couple of days for safety from pests! (I have had no issues with pests from this product, this is standard practice for all substrates/bedding)

My hamster did end up being allergic, but that isn't the products fault. Make sure to watch you hamster when adding new substrates! It's a pretty big bag, full all the way! It will add a nice pop of color to your cage if your hamster isn't allergic to it! Gandalf loved crawling on it, it is pretty soft!

Recommended for anyone trying to get back in touch with nature. It only took purchasing approximately 200 bags of this stuff to make a proper bed under the bridge near my home.

Great for my robo, I love decorating with it. Bag runs out quickly though because it compresses so much.

The moss looks good and helps absorb odor. I put a layer of it on top of paper bedding (blended with meadow hay for more structure).

Absolutely love this moss! It adds a beautiful touch of green to my hamster’s house and she enjoys snuggling in it!

Although cheaper hamster-safe moss options are available, many require you to prepare them with water first and then dry them out. This Niteangel bag is ready to use, feels mostly soft (though a little squishing can help remove any overly crunchy bits), and you can simply freeze it for several days as an added safety measure; then thaw and in it goes. It’s added another fantastic texture choice for my girl. Sometimes I sprinkle a little of her daily food into it for foraging, and it provides a lovely splash of colour. It’s great as an enhancement to ”pillow” and soften parts of the enclosure. In the picture, you can see I’ve padded around her ceramic hide, which sits on top of her multi-chamber. It can get a little messy, but that’s half the fun for them. I don’t want her space to look like a show home. I believe this is another excellent enrichment.
