Full Body LED Red Light Therapy by Joovv

Having been studying photo-biomodulation for a few months now, I thought the Joov Mini (I purchased it directly from the company) would be a great gift for my wife. Wrong. Within the first day the following occurred: Out of the box, the on-off switch was not always operative. The design is poor in that you can not see how much time is left to your session as the digital display is not visible. Second the unit gave off heat (not too much) intermittently, indicating erratic function, and finally, the unit would shut off in the middle of 4 of the 6 sessions on the first day. The customer service (only email/online chat) person suggested that we use a surge protector, and that they were in the process of developing an app (not ready yet) to deal with this issue (why sell it if you know you have this issue, or at least tell the customer upfront). They did not address the two other issues. I don't like paying $700 for an item and having an out of the box failure. I have decided to return the item, and they require I pay for shipping despite the out of the box malfunction. I explained that I should not be responsible for any shipping charges for an out of box failure--but they said that is their policy "No Exceptions". In my opinion this company had a good idea, is producing an inferior product (erratic energy production, on-off switch erratic, and no surge protection), doing a great job with marketing and packaging, but clearly is not interested in making me happy. Photobiomodulation is a great healing tool, but apparently there are a lot of sharks in these waters. I am a professional and the same applies in the PBM market for lasers. Caveat Emptor.

We should have gotten the hint when we saw their childish 'price-anchoring'.We seem to have fallen for the highly effective social marketing of the new millennium. We purchased the max with high hopes. After years of ultra running and climbing, my husband and I are open to anything that seems effective in optimizing our performance and speeding up recovery...etc. and all the imaginary benefits that are being uniformly pushed down the pipe through influential social marketers and podcasters. After 8 months we stopped using the Joovv altogether. And frankly, we feel silly for having fallen for it. I wonder how many are afraid to admit this?

After hearing and reading many good things about red light/infrared light therapy I decided to spring for the Joov light. What a truly fantastic product. Had a slight issue with the power switch second day of use. I contacted the company and they IMMDEDIATELY got it fixed. Shipped me a new light and sent me an Amazon gift card as an apology for the issue. I mean WOW I've never seen better customer service in my life.I am truly excited to see the full benefits of this light for my family and I. Furthermore I plan to be a repeat customer as this company has gone above and beyond to earn my repeat business. Truly a class act and I have already recommended to friends and family. Thank you for an amazing product and tremendous customer service.

I used to have salon treatments, and my skin was smoother, and it really worked. I bought this full body panel so I could do therapy on my own schedule. Every time I used it, my skin would have fine cracks, like it was drying out, and spots or freckles would appear as if I were in the sun. The lamp is red while the salon fluorescents bulbs gave off a white light. I followed the instructions to the "T," but it just didn't work for me. By the time I tried to return it, the time had passed, and Joovy wouldn't refund my money. Not a great experience.

Unfortunately, this didn't work for me or my husband. I have back pain, and my husband has psoriasis. I was really hoping that this would be a miracle cure or at least help enough to make all the hassle (I live in Germany, so I had to have this sent to my parents' in the States, then have them send it to me), but it was not at all. Also unfortunately, I didn't realize that it wasn't working at all until the after the return period was up. Now I'm stuck with something that cost me nearly $1000 with all the shipping charges, and I don't know what to do with it.

I got the idea for getting this light from a YourTube video that recommended it for, of all things, increasing testosterone. A few dudes swore by it. So I gave it a shot. Does it work for that? I don't know. I'm 52 years old and think I'm way done when it comes to increasing testosterone, although I'm super healthy otherwise. Sure, I've been expereincing a few extra boners in the morning and in the middle of the night, but nothing like when I was 16. I'm sure that this will work great for a younger man,. In fact, I don't believe a younger man would need something like this anyway (just lay off the porn!). But I did notice one other thing: I use it on my face as well. 5 min each side. And low and behold, I look much younger! My skin feels tigher and pores look smaller. I get a lot of comments about how young I look (although no dates). Could it be that the infrared wavelengths are increasing callogen a bit like they supposedly say it does? Could be! My only negative about this light is the price. I think it's way exhorbitant. To me $300 is fair. If it truly does increase testosterone, then really, any price is fair!
