Taylor Swift has announced her ninth studio album, evermore; folklore's sister record. These songs were created with Aaron Dessner, Jack Antonoff, WB and Justin Vernon. The deluxe physical edition will include two bonus tracks on 2 LP transparent green vinyl. The color itself is gorgeous and fits the whole earthy, woodland vibe of the album perfectly. When the light hits the record, the green transparency looks even better and makes it feel like a unique collector’s piece. The sound quality on my copy is excellent. The record plays cleanly with very little surface noise, and the warm analog sound really complements the softer, folk-inspired production of songs like Willow, Champagne Problems, and Gold Rush. It’s one of those albums that feels especially nice to listen to on vinyl. The packaging is also well done. The sleeve artwork looks great in person and the vinyl arrived well protected with no warping or scratches. It feels like a thoughtful pressing rather than a rushed release. Overall, this is a beautiful edition of a great album. If you enjoy collecting colored vinyl or just love Evermore, the transparent green pressing is definitely worth picking up.
