I’ve not had one moment worrying about what I cut into with this knife. I’ve had pocket knives since I was young, but I’ve always thought beforehand, “I wonder if that’s going to dull my blade” or “will it rust if I don’t wipe it right after”. I’m mediocre with sharpening knives—I’ll admit that but I’m not too concerned with that. Straight blades have their place, but for me, they’re just glorified pocket jewelry. I don’t want to waste much time keeping a beautifully uniform blade intact. I certainly don’t want to keep it stowed away for fear it might not stay pretty. It might actually get used, right? Knives are tools and I treat this one like that, a damn fine I’ll add. I’ve cut through cardboard (enemy #1), plastic packaging, and fabric so far with ease. Because of the sheep’s foot blade, I’ve also not been as concerned with a point on the blade and hurting myself. All and all, this is a wonderful knife. My only regret is spending money on other knives when I’ve could have bought this sooner. Really, the quality of the steel and blade shape, the feel of the FRN handle, the light weight, and easily-visible color make this a great choice. You won’t be skinning a deer with this one, but you will reap the benefits from the extra money spent. Do yourself a favor and get one.

These knives are awesome
I use these at work. I use in the ocean and they don't rust. If they should get any rust on them Spyderco will replace! I have some that I have been using for 10 years. Good quality product!
