Xantrex8080915 PROwatt SW Auto Transfer Switch

I have an inverter for my 110 fridge for when I'm driving or don't have shore power. This device works perfectly as when I plug in a short power it flips over automatically to the shore power source and if the short power disconnects it runs off my inverter if it's on. I tried another brand before on Amazon and it popped of the breaker on the shore power and the inverter where this one worked perfectly. Definitely recommend it. I do not know how durable it is but for right now it's working. I had to buy a female 15 amp plug end for the fridge to plug into on the device but those are only a few dollars. The wire that came with the plug went directly to my inverter and the other wire went to the shore power hardwired in.

Installed this in my travel trailer off of the inverter, works exactly how it should and is silent too, was expecting Atleast a click when it comes on but it’s dead silent, 10/10

I am using this as a sump pump backup control unit, as we have frequent power outages. I maintain (2) group 27 deep cycle marine batteries with a Schumacher SC1609 which are hooked up in parallel and wired to an Eastwood 2000 watt pure sine wave power inverter. When the power in the house goes out, this unit immediately switches the power coming in off the street to the battery/inverter system automatically to run my 120 volt sump pump. When the house power returns, it immediately, automatically switches back to house power. It works great and the instructions are pretty much idiot proof if you know how to wire simple household receptacles and such. The only down side to this unit that I can see is that the manufacturer should make the wires coming out of the unit about 12 inches longer so you would have more wire to work with in the installation. The wires are nicely marked however, so you know where to hook up each wire.

This is a well made switch which operates quietly, is relatively compact, and does what's supposed to. Only complaint is the wires are a little on the short side for my installation. Overall, though, this works really well.

I bought this to switch over to an inverter in case of a power outage (my sump pump runs a lot). This is sturdy, and works great!
