Great units, lightweight & decent size. Easy to clean
I have been using humidifiers since I had my first child 6 years ago. Over the years I have had various brands as we have traveled outside of the UK and each country has there own brands. On return to the UK I needed a set of new humidifiers for the house. I use them in the main living area during the day to combat the drying air from the use of central heating and in the bedrooms at night, especially when we all have the sniffles. In my opinion these units are great. They are a great price & the perfect size. Not enormous but also not too small. They will run all night long on the full steam setting without running out. They are light weight, so easy to move around the house and very easy to clean. This is important as you need to keep these units very clean to prevent the growth of bacteria. I throw a bit of bleach into the tank every three days and swirl it around. Make sure you rinse it well before refilling. The base area I use neat white vinegar. If you don;t clean the base reservoir regularly it will start to slim up. Had no issues with faults. The only issue I did have was that I initially struggled to open the tanks screw lid. I ended up having to place the a long slim fork handle between two of the dips where the water inlet value is and twisting. The provided enough tork to open the lid.

Brilliant humidifier - I bought two!
Well-made machine, which on the highest setting, produces enough mist to humidify quite a large room. I have seen on other reviews, that the cap is supposed to be difficult to remove; well, in that case, don't over-tighten it so much. The seal around the lid is a very well-made thick rubber seal, and requires only just enough tightening to keep the water inside. Tighten it just to touching the seal and then add another fraction of a turn, particularly when the machine is new, as the rubber seal will swell slightly when used for the first couple of times. The output is staggering compared with other (more decorative) devices, so reduce the output/on-off switch accordingly. On full output, the machine could cause dampness in a confined space if used overnight; if this occurs, you have set the output too high. I use my machine to nebulise Colloidal Silver Nanoparticles, and it is perfect for that purpose. I was so confident of the machine, I bought another as a spare. Fantastic product, would recommend it to anyone who wants a powerful humidifier. Also excellent service with next-day delivery.

Definitely worth it.
My other half has been on at me to get one of these for a very long time, but I just couldn't see the point of it.I finally gave in and decided to buy one. I'm so glad I did.We started using it as soon as it arrived. Another review mentioned that using it makes the room feel colder. We did find this the first night we used it and found that the room did get very cold (although it was a very cold night that night). We have found that on subsequent nights usage, the room doesn't feel colder. The thermometer in the children's room does show around 18.5 degrees (which I understand is within the ideal room temperature for children). The only thing I don't like is the fact that the water reservoir simply sits on top of the device. There is nothing keeping it held in place (such as retaining clips) this makes it very easy to remove. For this reason it loses 1 star.As for helping the children breathing when they are feeling all bunged up, it is absolutely amazing. Before buying it, I was a little concerned about the stated 8 hour running time. I think this may be at the highest setting. We have used it at between the lowest and half way setting and have found it runs for the entire night with plenty of water still left in the tank in the morning.Cleaning it is simple. Fill the tank with water and add a little bit of bleach. You just need to make sure that you rinse it thoroughly afterwards.

Owned two, and it's terrible, terrible, terrible
I rate this item as one of the worst products I bought in my life, and if I cannot speak for all units produced, the two I got to use are just terrible. After my previous humidifier from the Ufesa manufacturer broke, I've started to look for another cold mist humidifier. Given the options available I've decided to buy the Vicks Paediatric Mini Ultrasonic Humidifier. For the double of the price of the Ufesa model, and without any of the functions the other offered like the timer, ION air purifier, demineralization cartridge, more power and larger tank, I thought this could only mean that the quality would be excellent, like reliability and low noise. I was completely wrong...The first unit I received almost readily started to produce an irritating intermittent vibrating noise after an hour of use. At first, it was relatively silent (not more than the Ufesa though) but after that hour a louder noise was produced during many seconds, then go away for just a few seconds to return again. And once that louder vibrating noise started, it stayed until I shut the unit off. After a while it messed with your nerves and I had to shut it down. And remember that this is supposed to be a product to be used in the bedroom during night! After contacting Amazon costumer services, which were great, a second unit was sent.Unfortunately the second unit, despite it hasn't shown the intermittent vibrating noise problem, produces the louder sound of the first unit as the standard noise volume! And much noisier than the Ufesa model that costed me half the price of this one a few years ago.So, I don't get the noise fluctuation but get to have the loud humming sound permanently. It's even loud enough to interfere with the hearing of the TV, almost like if a neighbour is using the vacuum cleaner. Again, totally unsuitable to have in the bedroom at night since in the living-room it's already annoying. At this moment I'm trying to return both items to Amazon to get a refund and buy another humidifier. It's very disappointing to have this happening with a product made from a brand that I had as a quality one.

Helped the little one sleep through her first proper cold
Little one got a cold = sleepless nights as she was waking up due to the build up of mucus. Got this little baby on around the half way mark setting (small sized nursery) and she sleeps through the night. The humidifier works well, the mist is quick to come out as soon as the device is plugged in and gets the room to a suitably comfortably cool but humid level.I will continue to use this overnight as it helps to fight infections and germs - no issues with cleaning, we must have decent water where we live. I admit the screw bottom was difficult to get off the first time but there is no need to tighten it so much when you fill it each time just make sure you check that it isnt dripping. As I run on half-level the water lasts two nights.
