Inspiring, realistic,thorough, unconventional format.
This book is crazy. It reads like the author’s dissertation in Astro-engineering. Packed with information I can’t help but see where Elon got some of his numbers for his predictions. A must read if you think about Lunar development or anything else out there. But no page numbers, it’s like he hit print and had it bound without any proofreaders. I doubt that prevented his PHD.

Everything you wanted to know about building on the Moon.
This book contains the information that you would need to establish a self sufficient colony on the Moon. From the minerals to build the concrete structure to the trace elements needed for agriculture, this book tells you how to find them and how to get them from the soil.

Bought this book when it first came out from David, and it is great!
Bought it in person from David. It is a through coverage of in situ resource collection, processing ores including chemistry and machinery, and methods to get lunar metals and minerals into the space settlement enterprise. Deep enough for engineers, but explains enough for any average reader who is interested in how we will soon mine the moon, and move mining off Earth.

Not what I expected
I was hoping for something like Zubrin's 'Case for Mars', but 'Mining the Moon' is so poorly written and edited it seems like a self-published work. The author jots down some interesting thoughts, but he needs to devote some time to organizing those thoughts, collaborating with a publisher and making it more of professional effort.

Too many could and if, to be credible
I share the opinion of other reviewer. Needs to be re-edited
