Bonide 225 16-Ounce Brush Top Pruning Sealer

I used the product on freshly cut tree limb stubs at various application angles. It took me several days of cutting, opening and closing the can often, the product stayed fluid all the time. Even with the product lightly dripped on the can threades the lid would always come off. Once applied the product dried fairly quickly even on a vertical cut. The brush is attached to the lid on the underside, it extends to nearly the bottom of the can so one can easily remove most of the material. The final tar may need to be poured onto another surface and transfdered via the brush to the cutting. One can lasts for a lot of cutting as long as not that much is brought out on the brush at a time. The tar solution stuck well to the freshly cut tree stubs. As an amateur, I thought it worked well and I was not coated with it by the end of the day(s).

Unlike other sealers that come in a spray can, this product is thick and sticks great to the exposed wood it's applied to. The applicator brush allows you to paint the product making it easy to apply. It doesn't run if exposed to rain. Very happy with the product.

It wasn't evident when I chose to purchase this item but there is a small application brush attached to the screw top. Easy application, seems to be as good as advertised.
