No, not at all. Do not use liquid membrane at all. If you are looking for a product besides Schluter's thinset you can use Mapei uncoupling membrane thinset. Alternatively, you can use any thinset that is A118.1; that number is a standard that companies must meet as the minimum strength requirement for adhesion for things like shear strength between bonded component(s) and substrate.

Will this flex to accommodate a slightly larger angle? My bench has a 93 degree slope for drainage.

I don't thing the 3 degrees over 90 would make a difference.

Are there 2 corner pieces in this or only one?

The package I have says it contains 2 corner pieces.

Why does the product description say these are pink? the kerdi fabric i have is orange. i don't want to order something that is not kerdi.

looks like someone inserted the color "pink" because on the screen it looks "pink". So I assure you that it is Schluter "orange".
