HOMCOM High Gloss Frame Sideboard, Side Cabinet, Push-Open Design with 2 Drawer for Living Room, Bedroom, Light Grey and Black

I purchased 2 of these unit to fit a space behind a sofa, and frankly wasn't too bothered if they didn't turn out great as they were going to be hidden anyway.However...What a pleasant surprise.- Arrived well packaged with no damage to the glossy boards or any other parts.- All parts were clearly labeled, and assembling the units was quick and fairly easy, even with my lack of expertise (and hubby's refusal to consult the instructions)- Very surprised with the quality hardware - door hinges and drawer runners were actually really good, and compared much better than my last install from a well known brand.The finished product looks great, and does the job of hiding away clutter. The glossy top and sides look really good with the contrasting grey doors.I was initially nervous after reading some of the reviews about missing/damaged parts, but I am glad I went ahead and ordered these. I can report that both units arrived in perfect condition.Hope this helps others decide whether to go with this brand or not.

Very good quality for a flat pack. The materials supplied were much better than I expected for the price. I have never built anything like this before & was worried it would be too difficult but the instructions were good & it came together great 😊

Overall I’m happy with this. What you get for the cost is fairly good.The goodLooks nice, all the parts and screws are labelled, good value for money, fast delivery.The badDraws need to be pushed at both edges as the runners aren’t the best but will do, as mentioned on another review there are some tiny imperfections where the face finish meets the edging strip (once built I’ve not noticed them), if your floor is not dead straight you may struggle with doors lining up.The indifferentAssembly instructions could be clearer but not impossible to follow, other reviews have mentioned fixing strength being an issue and they may be if over tightening when assembling, the draws can’t be adjusted if needed.Bottom lineWould I buy again? YesWould I recommend? Yes

Not the easiest to put together, probably because I was doing it on my own and it takes a while to adjust and align the doors - took me a few hours including unpacking, setting everything out and tidying up afterwards. I love the handless feature with magnetic push to open drawers and doors, it looks sleek and modern, we use it for the cupboards for my husbands shoes and trainers (size 10) and the drawers for keys, sunglasses and dog leads and poo bags, pretty much everything you need from a sideboard in the hallway, lovely smooth top perfect for a few large ornaments finishes off the modern look and the cupboards and drawers hide the practicalities - I'd had enough of my o/hs shoes being left out in the hallway so this unit was the perfect solution, not particularly expensive so definitely value for money - highly recommend if you want to hide the stuff in your hallway and have a modern smart looking sideboard instead 😀

Doors and side panels, the glossy ones, totally scuffed, scratched and with the glossy layer peeling off.Please note a lot of these defects where dead in the center of the panels, where they were wrapped and protected, so it's not a transport issue.No. Someone at this company individually and carefully wrapped each of these pieces, saw the defects, and thought "oh, I'll just pretend it's ok, send it off to some poor sod, and if he doesn't complain - hey we got rid of the broken one", probably followed by "after all, the boxes are really heavy, it's going to be a hassle for whoever gets this to return it. Let's just pass on the problem to the customer".Well, this is not OK. Not OK in any shape or form. For shame.I've contacted the seller, and I sure hope they will have the courtesy of sending someone to collect, instead of expecting me to carry 2 15kg boxes to the depot, just because they though it's easier for them to pass on the problem and get rid of a defective item, than it is to send the right item to begin with.Will amend this review depending on their behavior.Future buyers beware, if you get this defective item (some very recognizable marks there on some of the photos) you can know they're still trying to find another sucker to land with the defective cabinet.

This sideboard is really nice quality. Instructions we're very straight forward and easy to follow. Noticed some of the reviews said it came all scratched up not knowing you have to remove the protective film. How else can you send a gloss product without protecting it. Doors needed a little adjustment but didn't take long. More storage than I though inside and overall a great product for the price. Please be aware that the 2 boxes it comes in get delivered on different days. Fast delivery also. Would definitely recommend.

A good item for the price. Easy enough to construct and a sturdy unit. Doors also adjusted nicely for a good fit.The plastic sheeting that protects the glossy outer sides was a bit difficult to remove but came off eventually with a bit of persistence.The actual doors/drawers look a bit plasticky and the drawers are quite shallow but this aside I was pleased with it considering the relatively low price.
