Portable and useful
While not "professional level" it works, and since it is small it is very portable. OK to use for small items like scissors or other small cutting tools ... but too small for, say, large kitchen knives.

Received broken
Item was received in flimsy plastic mailer, no padding. Crumbles to pieces when I use it.

Great pocket sized stone.
Just the right size for pocket and a great way to keep pocket knives super sharp, touching up the edges after use. The course side corrects major flaws and the smooth side hone up the blade to a fine edge.

A bit small
It’s small but expected per the price. It does what it’s supposed to do.

Esta bien pero el tamaño es menor al que aparenta
es una piedra pequeña como del tamaño del clásico borrador rojo y azul, un poco mas largo. cumple con su función, si afila. por el precio me parece bien el producto.

Not a bad little stone
Not a bad little stone, but not great either. For the price it's worth it. Very hard to use on big blades, and near impossible if you run the blade along the stone. However, if you instead run the stone along the blade, it works well. You won't get quite as sharp an edge as you would with professional tools, but it will get sharp enough. As mentioned in other reviews, it is not the colour depicted. It's grey instead. Also the colouring is far from even. Mine is wavy along the sides, and on the fine side, there are portions with the same colour as the coarse side, but I haven't noticed it affecting the item yet.The last thing I'll point out is, as other reviews have mentioned, it is much smaller then you would think, which makes it great for travel and camping. The dimensions listed are accurate, but to give a better picture, it's about half an inch longer than my middle finger, it's about 1 and a half fingers wide, and 3/4 of a finger tall.

No more dull knives!
A useful tool to have around the house or to take on camping trips. It does the job, however, care should be taken when sharpening because of the size of the stone. Ideally, it should have been a little bigger in order for it to be easier to sharpen knives. Yes, I know I should have read the details, however, there are people out there that are like me, who impulse shop at times. I feel that perhaps a measurement with the picture or some reference point should have been helpful. All in all, if you are used to using this tool, it is far better way to sharpen knives.

For the price that it has, just go for it
I am not very experienced in sharpening knifes, but I did sharpen my knives in the past. I got this, and I am glad that I did so. In my case, I badly damaged the edge of the big blade on my Victorinox Swiss Champ and I almost had no hope to get it back again without actually replacing the blade itself.First, I used Lansky BladeMedic tool but going the extra mile with the sharpening stone made all the difference. I found the finer side of the stone is still coarser than the sharpening stone came with the Swiss Champ SOS kit (brick coloured stone stick). So I went through 3 steps to get the sharpness that I wanted on my knives. Now they perform much better, and that's the whole purpose.

The price is right!
This stone is great for the price. I was unable to successfully sharpen a good knife that I have, however, I don't have any experience in sharpening knives, so i'm sure this is the main cause. It did however manager to get some kitchen knives I have very sharp. It leaves the edges a bit rough, again, this may be my lack of experience. For the price, even if it works on one daily use knife really well, then it's worth it.
