Would purchase again - reasonably priced method to help keep track of our keys
I bought this because my husband couldn’t seem to keep track of his keys, both in the house and more importantly, while he was on his courier route. Twice before, they’d gone missing for a day or two, and when we checked into replacing the car key, it was going to cost about $600! That’s when I decided to look into a tracker device. This wasn’t the most highly rated tracker, but it was one of the cheapest so I figured why not give it a try. We’ve been very satisfied so far, and we’ve had it 4-6 weeks. The phone ap was easy to find and install. The directions for syncing the device were good, and the syncing worked first tIme. The device is very lightweight - we put it on his key ring. The chime on the device is pretty loud and he normally doesn’t have trouble hearing it. So far, the original battery is still working. There is an option to add devices to the phone ap in order to track more than one device. We have not tried the “lost key” function. All but one time, the ap has accurately reflected the address of the device when it has gotten out of Bluetooth range and become “lost.” (More on that incident below.) The directions with the device are not great, but I had read all the reviews on here thoroughly and so I pretty much knew what the device could do, I just had to go through the ap to find out how to set up the feature I wanted to use or to test how I thought it worked. So far, we have had two instances where the keys were or could have been lost. The first time, hubby was working his route in the company car when he got out of Bluetooth range of his (personal) key ring, which had a work key on it. He was so preoccupied with all the other stuff he has to keep track of (two phones, another set of keys for the company car, paperwork, and the items he picked up from the stop) that he didn’t hear his phone warning that he had gotten out of range of the device on his personal key ring. He discovered it was missing two stops later when he needed the work key again and he didn’t have it. A check of the ap said the device was at home - clearly an error because he had used the key ring to drive our car to work. After backtracking his route, he got to the location where he’d left the keys, and when he got back into Bluetooth range, the phone tracker alert went off. He rechecked the GPS address, and sure enough, it reflected the address where he was - the keys were in the building. I have no idea why the ap did not originally show the correct address. The second time, hubby was in the office at work and walked outside to get a car to start his route. He didn’t get very far outside before the phone went off, and he knew right away he had left his keys in the building.Last week he noticed that the device wasn’t working anymore. Turns out the Bluetooth on his phone had gotten turned off - we have no idea how or why that happened. When we turned the Bluetooth back on, the device automatically reconnected itself. This morning for some unknown reason, the Bluetooth kept going in and out, and so the tracker alert on the phone kept going on. I finally turned off the alert when the device is at home in a “safe and verified” wyfi zone. Even with that option turned off, we can still use the phone ap to find/ring the keys (and conversely use the keys to find/ring the phone) in the house. While we both feel that this device doesn’t give one free reign to be careless with the keys, it has worked for us and done what we hoped it would do - help keep track of our car key. Our biggest word of caution would be not to let yourself have a false sense of security with it, because we HAVE experienced a couple of glitches which may or may not have been user error. Even so, we would definitely purchase again.

Reliable bilateral separation alert
The Rinex tag warns both when the tag is moved out of range from the phone and when the phone is moved away from the tag. Thus, it is perfect for protecting luggage and bags. The alarm on the phone side is loud. When the separation occurs a map image with the position will be saved in the phone. The lost item can be located if another user with the Itrackeasy application passes by in ways similar to the Apple find my function. The Rinex tag and the Apple air tag complement each other since the Apple separation alert is unreliable and comes too late. However, chanses of retrieving your goods later is probably better with the air tag. The app warning also shows on the Apple watch. Rinex does what Apple chose to omit. For protecting my phone from loss I prefer the Prox PRD tag which can be set to a shorter range than the Rinex which makes the separation alert come quicker.

Cat Tracker!
*I PAID FULL PRICE!!!!*I got this to track one of our cats. Laugh if you must, but this feline is a real..well...we'll say brat. I'm constantly looking for her, afraid she has slipped out of the house. After a particularly emotional incident, my husband suggested something like this to keep track of her.*Setup*This experience wasn't a straight out of the box and it's working deal. At least not for me. I got the app, I registered, and I waited on their confirmation email. Which you apparently need to begin using the device. It was Friday afternoon.I waited.I waited. The email finally arrived Sunday morning, and by then it was expired. So I had to sign up for another account. This time it went quick. We were up and running in 5 minutes.*Function*I left the disconnect alarm running to see how it would do within our home. It seems we have just the right size/layout to track her without getting a ton of false alarms. If she gets out, we will know, but as long as she is inside, we seem to be fine. It does seem to go off if she *runs* through the house, so eventually I had to turn that feature off.The map is okay enough. It will show you the last time your item (or animal) was within the range of your phone but that's about it. If, I *did* lose our brat cat, it seems we could drive around and probably locate her that way. Although I would rather not test this feature out. I'm sure you understand.I had been concerned about the size of the itrack, however it doesn't seem to have hindered her one bit. Initially she gave me a look that seemed to say "idiot." But other than that, she's fine with it. She is an average size cat, I would say. Registering in the 8-10lb region.*Software*The software is decent, and although I expected it to run the battery on my phone down a lot faster - it really doesn't. Honestly, I don't notice a difference at all. One qualm I do have, is that if you "turn off" the software from your phone, you have to manually re-start the device with your phone close to it. That's a bit of a hassle, although I imagine it is to save battery life on the device itself. Which seems to hold up okay. I would have to update the review later on, but for now, it's been running for two days without a budge in the battery bar. This include the first day, which was a lot of testing.Overall, it's working fairly well for us now that we got past the initial confirmation mishap. I'm pretty happy with the purchase!Update 10/10/2016: The iTrack unit is holding up well. Replaced the battery once. This has been a worthwhile purchase, and when/if this one craps out, we will happily purchase another.Update 03/16/17: You guys this thing is still holding up, and I've replaced the batteries a total of 3-4 times in the last year. I'm just really happy with how well it has held up and for the peace of mind that I get, it's worth it. I will likely grab another one for backup.

it will notify you when it disconnects
constantly disconnects and alarm goes off when its still in my pocket. does what it says it would but wish it didn't disconnect so often when its less than 2 feet away from my phone.

Better than most
Immediate throw away the batteries provided and buy some Duracell or equivalent. You don't want a dead battery along the way when you need it most. Seems pretty simple to use and if it saves our lost keys (we don't want to get into that discussion!) just once it's paid for itself several times over, in frustration if not in money value.
