Fit perfectly, and the drain slot prevents ice buildup and keeps leaves and critters out of the exhaust pipe. And in the Midwest that is especially important during the cold winter months for foundation level furnace exhaust pipes. Be careful to measure the inside diameter of your pipe fitting, in my case a Schedule 40 forty-five degree elbow, and match the inside diameter dimension to the correct Termination cap outside diameter dimension if you are mating to PVC standard fittings. There is a chart under the item picture that shows the item outer diameter which must match the inside diameter of the Schedule 40 fitting (if that is what you have on your exhaust pipe.)

Perfect Fit for the 2" venting installed w/our new furnace. The ends are a bit wider at the end (bell opening) so these caps fit perfectly inside the end of the PVC. Effectively blocks bugs and other small annoyances from entering the exhaust venting. I would order again and recommend should my use case fit your circumstance. Good Product vs Price> A-

Worked perfectly to seal off my furnace intake and exhaust pipes exiting my house. Had a mouse crawl in my furnace air intake last year and die in the blower, so this should prevent that disgusting outcome from happening again. Easy installation and good price.

I think these will work very well. They are well made. The mesh is strong and secured solidly to the PVC. I ordered the wrong size. I ordered one size larger than I should have. As luck would have it, it fits on the outside of my vent cover rather than the inside. That suits me just fine. I'm going to find a pin to secure it and drill a hole through the 2 pieces, as an extra measure. That way I can easily remove it if need be.

I am using NDS sewer & drain 4" PVC pipe for ERV ducting. This is not SCH40 pipe but thinner wall sewer & drain pipe and fittings. This 4" screen fits inside an NDS hub by using a heat gun to soften the hub. It is not easy and it took me about an hour to achieve but it has worked out very neatly in the end, see photo. Once the hub is very warm / too hot to touch, I forced the screen (which has a solid pvc collar) into the hub perpendicularly to expand the hub while rotating it to expand the hub evenly all around. Repeating the heat and expand procedure many times eventually allows the screen into the hub. Once it is slightly inside evenly all around, it is much easier to continue heating and press it in all the way. This long turn elbow will be pointing downwards on the fresh air intake. I will not glue the elbow to the pipe so that the elbow can be easily removed for cleaning. I can reach the inside side of the screen through the removed elbow. Therefore it's fine that the screen is now stuck permanently in the hub just through friction with the warmed pvc. I have bought several of these screens in the past for air intakes and very happy with their quality and longevity. I point them down on air intakes where I can easily see and vacuum them every now and again. No screen on exhaust provided exhaust is in regular daily use to expel the bugs. In my case the ERV will be on 24x7. If PVC is in direct sunlight it needs to be painted to protect from UV. I don't know if the 3" size fits inside a 3" NDS hub but it's worth a shot.

Worked fine. Used to replace a cowl end that was very restrictive on the roof. Used a rubber coupler found at bunnings hardware in Australia to attach.

Received the critter guard, looks like a nice solid product. Well made with good stainless steel screen. Unfortunately the 4” is the outside diameter. It does not fit over the 4” pipe, so I had to return it.

This is a quality product and hard to find, but 3 stars due to its wildly high price. If I had any other easier option I would have done it, but this does work with an adapter - and you will need an adapter.

fit perfectly into 3 inch PVC, will definitely keep the critters out!
