With the honey not being fully covered by the wing I would think it would attract ants?

The honey "tail" is not fully covered...this decorative piece seems to be more geared for using occasionally as the honey is exposed.

Does the glass part unscrew for cleaning? Some are make that way.

The glass part does not unscrew for cleaning, however the whole unit washes up nicely. I am really happy with this cute little critter.

Does this item come with a gift box?

This Item comes in a box with the bee’s image printed on the outside. But I bought mine 2 years ago and things can change. You better ask the seller if it’s important

Does this item come with the spoon?

Yes it comes with the spoon. This has to be the cutest piece I own!
