MadpaxSpiketus Rex 2.0 Full Pack Backpack, Green Machine

Ordered as Christmas gift. My 11yo son is in love with it, got tons of compliments. He uses it as a book bag, or backpack to take to sleep overs or trips. It's spacey and has extra pockets on the sides. There is a pocket for the laptop but he doesn't use it so there is enough room for books and notebooks. Not sure if it'd be the case if he carried a laptop. If your hope is to fit a bulky zip binder into that, don't waste your breath, it won't fit. However, the backpack was for my son for many different uses as he is a die hard Mario fan and it reminds him of king koopa. It started as a misc backpack for his electronics, gadgets and toys for trips and sleep overs and transitioned into a book bag as well. Highly recommend it. It is a bot pricy but as a gift it wasn't so bad and it is good quality and very durable.I will note that spikes get bent and squashed at times especially if backpack is half empty but that was somewhat expected as it is made of the same material as backpack

Backpack lasted less than 2 weeks. The nylon under the coat hook ripped completely open. Poor quality.We had the previous version of this backpack and my son LOVED it. And it was the best backpack, lasting 4 and a half years with daily rough use. And even then, the leather had only started to peel off the spikes - everything else was working great! Wish I hadn't thrown it away!

Same review cross posted on another color- Got a couple of these for my boys who started school this year. They are 4 & 5 and this size is obviously a bit large on them but they don't mind, school specifically requested a "full size" backpack and that is this one (they make smaller). We get dozens of compliments on them because they're adorable. My main complaint is the storage! The interior has a divider so you can separate things into 2 sides but it's nothing fancy, the interior material feels kind of junky which I was surprised to see since the outside is a nice leathery/vinyl. The other MAJOR oversight on these bags is the waterbottle storage. There are 2 TINY side pockets that zip, clearly neither are meant to hold a water bottle because it barely fits the opening and is definitely not secure (like an elastic pocket would be). Perhaps they'll fix this issue down the road. Overall they work fine but geeze for the price they should be a bit higher quality inside with a few more "amenities"

Cute backpack, hard to access as it doesn't open very wide and is very dark inside. Also a mesh drink pocket on the side would be a big improvement.

I wasn't sold on this bag, but after my soon to be kindergartner saw it, this was the only bag he wanted. We are 3 and a half months into school and it is holing up great. The spikes are still in great condition after on his back for both bus rides and being sat on and leaned against. The straps are also easy to adjust, and the bag wipes clean easily which is great for a 5 year old. An added bonus is that every grown man we run into tells my son that his backpack is the coolest bag they have ever seen. It makes my son very happy to be called cool by the big guys.

My granddaughter wore this back pack for about 5 weeks ......... THEN it ripped !

This is so cute and i cant believe the quality and the pockets are a plus. It would be like carrying the perfect purse :-) it is full size and i love that i can buckle the straps, so that the bag doesnt slide off my sons arms!!! It was well worth price of $30.00

The leather or whatever it is on the spikes started peeling after about 6 months. I got the maroon one which was a different "leather" material that didn't do what this lime green did. Also I found the company to not be easy to deal with so Amazon ended up refuning me.
