I didn’t even know these bamboo pillows existed until I won one in a free giveaway on an auction website. My son loved it so much that he claimed it for himself and threw away all his old pillows. So, I came here to buy one for myself and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t the $99 retail value they kept shouting about at the giveaway – it was actually super affordable for the exact same brand and size. The pillow doesn’t have a weird odor, and it’s incredibly comfortable – firm, but it conforms perfectly to your head and neck. That’s where this review should end, with me raving about the value, quality, and comfort. But no – my other son decided he needed one too. At least he was polite enough to ask instead of just taking mine, so I bought him one as well. All of that to say: clearly these pillows are good. We’re fans.

I have had a bamboo pillow for a long time and the one I had before, I could not find anymore it was just time to get a new one. I started to search and read reviews and I thought I would give this brand a try. First of all the pillow comes in the plastic bag that is shown in the picture. The pillow is put in there really good. When you take it out of the bag, it is this very flat messed up mess (being honest). When you read the instruction and do exactly what it says, you get this amazing big thick pillow. It stated to let it air for a day. Well, this is what I did...I put my pillow on a pants hanger and for extra support, I got the biggest safety pin I could find and I put the pin through the middle of the pillow by the seam and then closed the pin around the hook of the hanger and luckily it was a nice sunny day, I put mine outside to air. Because it will have a very strong smell to it at first but the smell will (at least mine did) go away. I do not like a firm pillow because I am a side sleeper and the one thing that I like with this new pillow that my old pillow did not have was a cover with a zipper for washing and the main body of the pillow had a zipper too that you can take the little foam pieces out to make the pillow as soft as you want or whatever firmness you like. This is a great pillow and I liked it so much and my husband needed a new one too, that he got me to order him one the next day. He did exactly like I did about the airing of the pillow and the smell went away. He likes his pillow with a little more firm and thickness to it because he stays mainly on his back and he does not wake up with his neck bothering him, like the old one. His old one was a bamboo pillow also. He adjusted his pillow to the thickness and firmness too by taking out some of the foam that is in the body of the pillow. For the price of these 2 pillows are great. We are both very happy with our new bamboo pillows.

I was starting to have neck pain after using my previous pillow for over 2 yrs ( it was worn out and was not this pillow) and I was looking for something to provide better support. I like a firm pillow and wanted one that not a flat pillow or that would collapse. I really like this bamboo pillow. It is firm but your head will still sink into it. My major concern with this shredded memory foam was that it would get displaced when I used it and result in my head sleeping on a deflated portion of pillow while the fill was pushed away, but this has not happened more than very slightly which I expected. It seems to hold its shape very well and the fill is nice and firm and fills up the whole pillow. It is a fluffy pillow so if you wanted something flat this is not the product for you. I feel this pillow keeps my head and neck in a very neutral alignment and I have been sleeping much better. I did follow all of the instructions for prepping the pillow:massaging it for about 3 mins, allowing 24 hrs after opening before use, and put in the dryer (I forgot it was in there so it actually was in the drier for about 20 mins when instructions said 5- oops) and it has been great. If you like a firm and thick pillow this would be an excellent product to try.

I am leaving 3 stars. The pillow is very heavy and dense. I am sure if you are wanting a firm pillow this would work fine. It is not fluffy, can not adjust the pillow because it is heavy. Over filled for my comfort. i am keeping it, because it is too difficult to send back.

The pollow is great but very hard to get out of container. I had to cut the travel case to get out.
