Is this safe to use on color treated hair?

Yes it is. I use it on my color treated hair at least once a week.

Does this help with dry scalp and brittle hair and if not any suggestions?

Yes, this is very helpful with dry hair. I would use this product as a deep conditioner after a shampoo with a shower cap and a dryer or a steam cap. Not too long, I would maybe do it for 7 to 10 minutes. I would also pair this with the peppermint &aloe soothing scalp tonic for your scalp after you style. Hope this helps.
