Too pricey for everyday labeling jobs, in my opinion, but for professional cable labeling these are the best.

Brady tape product is better tape but the they don't last. I have found the compatible tape cartridge lasts the whole way through consistently even though the tape is not as good. I would much rather have a cartridge that lats. Brady is more than double the price next to the compatible product. Disappointing.

I will be one of those "cost haters" and say that I did try to "obvious Chinese copies" or wherever they are made because of the price of these. These adhere well and print good. When the printer is cold, the first label may print something "not so perfect" but once the heater kicks in, you are good. (BMP21) If these were 25% cheaper I would give them a 5 star.

Works as stated

I bought the 21+ printer and although it does have some great features for a portable machine, the one thing I was looking for it can't do. I build a terminal strip for an interface connection and I wanted to mark the terminals. The machine sort of does that but not in a row. I have 34 terminals that I wanted to program once and then push the button each time I built this item. The brochure made me believe that if I bought the Terminal ribbon like this it would re-program the printer when inserted and give me that strip of 34 alpha numeric non sequential lines of 2 characters each. Not even close. The 21+ only prints 4 lines and then you have to cut. When you do cut there is a blank leader strip and a blank trailing strip that are both longer than the printed part. It is a huge tape waster for terminal strips and you might want to consider the cost. Just like the pc printer market, the printer is cheap, they make their money on the expensive supplies. I'm still not sure if I'll keep it as I do have a need for the occasional wire that needs marked and it is well suited for that purpose. The rechargeable battery is poorly engineered with you having to take it out to charge it. What were they thinking but it does not charge in the unit even though it is plugged in.
