Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose this for my 82 year old mom as she was losing strength opening jars. Well, I used this on a large lid with ridges that was so tight it left a cut on my hand when trying to open. I asked my body builder son to open and because of the structure of the container, he could not open it. It was on so tight that product spilled out when opened (powder). I used this tool and it immediately removed the lid. I was shocked!! I will be recommending this to all of mom’s friends and see this as Christmas presents. Than you!!

my wife has a collection of moonshine mason jars from TN, and from time to time they just get stuck. I have a rubber wrench in my garage that I have used but got tired of retrieving it every time she had a stuck mason jar. This just lives in that 1 kitchen draw we all have that has odds and ends and it works well. Very happy, highly recommend.

I do not recommend getting old. Your body betrays you on an almost daily basis with one malfunction or another. Frankly, it sucks. Over the past year or so I’ve developed a little arthritis in my hands which can make even opening a small jar of olives a near herculean task. But this simple, dirt cheap, product makes opening the vast majority of jars a breeze. Just slip this gadget over the jar, squeeze and twist, and it will open with ease. It’s made of a pretty durable plastic and silicone, and it’s light weight. So much easier to use than running a jar under hot water or trying to break the lid seal with a butter knife.

I recently broke my right wrist (my dominant hand/arm) and I couldn't open anything because my left hand is also basically useless. I finally gave in and ordered this gadget. GAME CHANGER. I can finally open bottles and jars without having to give them to my husband. 10/10, recommend for anyone with limited hand/arm mobility.

i have fibromyalgia and it can be impossible for me to open some jars. i've had a jar of pickles in my fridge for a little while and i've been really craving them but just couldn't open them, the lid was too tight and it was too painful for me. so i ordered this, and it opened it very easily and i could finally enjoy my pickles. this is will come in handy for a lot :)

I had an old lid opener thingy, but it got taken. And this is all I could find. You have to grip so hard, that sort of defeats the points of having something that grips for you. And then the discrete sizes means somtimes its too small, sometimes too big. This thing is ok, but doesn't inspire confidence the way my old-school opener did. In evolutionary terms, this one is heading towards the trees and not the space rockets.

Bought this for my elderly mom as she has difficulty opening jars and bottles. She can open a bottled soft drink or jar. It is multi functional for different size lids. Made very well and has lasted.
