Q: Where is the factory making these? What country?

Made in china. It makes sense, if it was made in the USA it would be considerably more expensive. I have had mine for over a year and it has survived multiple extreme wrecks into rocks and logs. Still operating as it did new. I searched the web and could find nothing on country of origin, the controller and boat are branded made in china.
