Islam Explained: A Short Introduction to History, Teachings, and Culture

I'm an Interfaith Chaplaincy Student, I've read a fair amount of "Intro to..." books, and this one is the best yet. This book is concise, well written, and formatted for easy understanding. It provides a brief, but still rich and meaningful, guide to the history, teachings, principles, and culture of Islam. I highly recommend it for anyone hoping to understand Islam.

Finished in two days - informative, written clearly and concisely and the author is a trusted scholar on the topic offering a gateway to continue more in-depth learning. Highly recommend.

Great introduction to Islam for the uninitiated. Even though it is an introduction some elements could have been expanded upon in order to make more sense

A really good insight into Islam. Being a novice, this is a good start to understand and appreciate good things, however controversial topics are cleverly given miss, which is all right.
