using this for soil2330 class at ucm. This is the correct book but the page numbering doesn't align with the bookstore copy.

A great book for every student, it contains vital, comprehensive information about soil, how it works, what it is, and its ecological impact on the planet and environmental systems. I'll keep this until my time on earth is up and will recommend it to anyone wise enough to invest time into learning about soil.

WOW! If I had known that this book existed earlier, I could have saved my time and money on all those other books on soil! This text is authoritative, clearly communicated, and covers the whole discipline. So many other books on soil and fertility reek of author's subjective opinion, lack data-driven foundation - many times passing on centuries long old wives tales rather than giving us something scientifically based. Really a great educational tool and reference!

A bit dense in the later chapters as far as content goes but very cost effective and it held up well for being a paperback version.

This excellent textbook provides a comprehensive overview of soil science. The text is clear and logically organized. The graphs and photographs appropriately highlight the material discussed.

thanks for making this global edition available -- I took my first soil science class in the 1980s using the 1984 edition of this book. The book is a complete overview of the discipline, and includes all the color in the USA edition. I recommend this highly.

This is a must read for anyone who works with soil. It is the definitive text book on soils, comprehensively brought up to date and relevant to anyone anywhere. Whilst it covers the technical stuff, it remains readable and comprehensible for the layman throughout. Some of the new research described within it if acted upon has the potential to revolutionise conventional world agriculture. Awesome!😎

Well written and easy to follow, whilst being comprehensive and filled with an abundant amount of informtion, which can be very technical by nature. If you're into soil, this is the book for you.
