Really sweet, feel in love with the characters
This was bought on a whim, wanting something different and liking the title. The story is precious, making me jealous that couldn’t have met a Jakob when I was young! I really liked how the author didn’t fall into predictable scenarios, yes it’s a romcom but I thought for sure things were going to unfold a certain way and they didn’t (I can’t be specific or it will spoil the book). I’ll just state it this way, it made the characters more real. I would love to see a follow-up book of the characters, I got invested in them.

Don’t miss this one if you like, I thought provoking romance with humor..
Probably The Best Kiss In The World was a delightful surprise. I picked it up on another authors recommendation. It was a thoughtful, thought-provoking romance with humor sprinkled throughout as the main character got her self into quite some situations without giving too much away. I highly recommend this. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Made me want to drink Craft Beers
I just left a 5 star review for Drunk, Punch, Love by Pernille Hughes. It was wonderful, so I decided to buy this from Amazon and give it a read. Loved it. She puts humor, sorrow, challenges and winners in her books. What more can you ask for. Love all the characters, but Lydia was a little spit fire. Now I'm off to find another one by Pernille Hughes.

Not for me
Thank you NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.Probably the Best Kiss in the World is a fun, slow burn romance about learning to trust yourself and going after what you want.Meet Jen. A beer brewing magician who loves to-do lists, being in control, and is all too happy to skate through life. Jen is put in a tough situation when her long time boyfriend proposes and starts mapping out a future Jen isn't so sure she wants. The book follows Jen as she comes to terms with the consequences of chasing her dreams, over doing what she "thinks" will be best. The book is told in Jen's POV in third person. Unfortunately, third person is my least favorite to read. I was so confused after reading the first chapter because so many new people and story lines were being introduced all at once. It was hard to keep track of who was who and how they were all related to each other. I didn't get fully sucked into this book until around 40%, and I mostly kept reading because the story line was intriguing enough to look over the parts of the book I didn't enjoy. Waiting to see what Jen's decision would be on Robert, her job, and whether or not to pursue her passion held my interest in the end.I personally couldn't relate to Jen or her thought process at all. Most of the time, her thinking and reasoning had me annoyed and shaking my head. She was overbearing, snobby, and unrealistic. Her roommate and sister, Lydia, wasn't any better. I did find that I enjoyed Lydia's story line more, however her attitude irked me sometimes.I know this may be controversial, and this is just my personal opinion, but I don't like when authors skip over sex scenes. Obviously, it can be as in as little detail as the author wants or feels comfortable with. However, I don't like when you can't be sure whether or not they were intimate. I need something at least! Especially in this somewhat slow burn situation. I was so looking forward to the part when the characters finally came together. I was waiting for fireworks! The only reason I figured out something had happened, is because the main character walked downstairs and she was trying to comb out her "sex hair".Here's what I really did like about the book: The story line. It was totally new and fresh. It had the perfect amount of drama, adventure, and lots of background story lines. The aspect of Jen being a brewster was so fun and different. Robert's sisters were a hoot and their disaster of a business added a hilarious aspect to the story. This book had travel, romance, family drama, following your passion, and taking risks. For me, this isn't the kind of romance that makes me head over heels obsessed with a book, however, it was a really amazing book and there are many people out there who I know would thoroughly enjoy this. I'd recommend this to people who are fans of contemporary with toned-down romance.

Charming. Fun. Feel Good.
Ⓞⓝⓔ ⓡⓞⓜⓒⓞⓜ. Ⓣⓦⓞ ⓢⓘⓢⓣⓔⓡⓢ. Ⓐⓝⓓ ⓛⓞⓣⓢ ⓞⓕ ⓑⓔⓔⓡ.🍻This was a fun lighthearted romcom with a cast of delightful characters. Jen isn’t necessarilg living her best life, but she’s living a life she’s comfortable with. She doesn’t have a dream job, but she has a job that she’s good at. Her boyfriend/fiancé doesn’t make her swoon, but he’s reliable. Jen however has a different side to her as well. She is a little quirky, a lot opinionated, and she has a passion for brewing beer. When Jen’s sister Lydia plans a surprise trip to Copenhagen, a dream holiday for Jen, she finds her life turned upside down. When she is trying to rescue her cell phone from the canal she ends up falling in and is rescued herself by a handsome Dane. They end up spending a magical evening together and he does make Jen swoon. So what happens when Jen returns home? I truly love this book there was such charm to this story. However, The blurb is a little misleading. The events are not in the correct order. Jen got engaged and then went to Denmark where she meant this handsome stranger. SO let’s call a spade a spade, Jen cheated on boring Robert. AND your fiancé being boring is NOT a valid reason to cheat on him, if you’re bored get out! Sorry, I have strong feelings on this, and I was so torn in this book because I really like Jen and I really did not like her with Robert. Completely understood and empathize with Jen’s sister Lydia. Lydia was a fabulous character, she was so strong, had so much heart, and she was such an amazing support to her sister. I’d have to say I’d absolutely love a follow-up to this book that features Lydia, loved her! I truly thought I knew where this book was going, but then it took a bit of a swerve that I truly thought was perfection. Pirnelle Hughes has written an exceptional romcom. The perfect balance of humor, family, friendship, and love. And if it weren’t for the cheating I would have given this book a full five stars, but that is a trigger for me, so sorry. But just like you can love a book full of characters you don’t like, you can also love a book where characters do things you don’t like. Simply put this was a lovely romcom that made me want to visit Denmark and have a beer! 🍻*** Big thanks to Harper Impulse for my copy of this book ***

A book that leaves you with a smile on your face
This is the first book I've read by this author although on the strength of this I've now ordered her first book. Absolutely loved it - a really feel good read. I have to say there were several occasions when I reached a conclusion before the lead character did but rather than finding it predictable it actually only had me turning the pages more quickly to see when she was going to catch up with me! :-) Jakob's last question made my heart melt. It's light, funny, romantic "chick-lit" but with all the dark things going on in the world exactly what's needed to lift your spirits. Hope there are more books to come!

A thinker
I’m a sucker for a romance but usually the protagonist gets on with me much better, in this case our protagonist was Jen. This book was a test of my patience and it was amazing. I loved the intricate details Pernille used to describe the brewing industry - it was clear just how much research had gone into this. I found myself yelling at Jen constantly and I’ve not spoken about a book with other people so much just to air my frustration; never have I cared so much about the stakes of a character. I would read it all over again in a heartbeat!

The Perfect Feelgood Read
This book is the perfect antidote to sad thoughts, gloomy weather and grumpy moods.Beautifully written, the characters are a little flawed and - well, human! The story is a sweet tale of love in all its forms - love for family, friends, partner and beer, but ultimately also for yourself.I came to like Jen, Lydia and all their friends although I wasn't enamoured with Jakob who just didn't read quite as genuine and "normal" as the other characters but that is the only slight flaw in an otherwise flawless book. I wholeheartedly recommend this book as a great read to escape into, the book equivalent to a hot chocolate after an Autumn walk.

Five stars is not nearly enough
I loved this book right from the first sentence and there is much more to it than romantic comedy. The characters are all SO well constructed. The dialogue is really natural and the narrative is fun, interesting, in places educational, often hilarious, and the plot very cleverly contrived. Even the acknowledgements are worth the read. The research for this book must have been exhausting. So many romcom books are just copies of each other with samey plots and very bad (stilted, unnatural) dialogue. And a lot of authors with far more books under their belts than Pernille Hughes don't do nearly so good a job. This is in a league of its own. It's one of those lovely reads that you really don't want to finish. I am bereft without it and look forward to more from Pernille Hughes in the future. Thank you to a great new author for a lovely few evenings of wonderful relaxation and enjoyment. Ten stars!

Easy read
It was a simple to read book, not mind blowing, it kept me interested enough to read to the end but very predictable.
