Kowa YF Series Porro Prism Binoculars, 8x30 Black

Great binoculars at a decent price. They are light weight and waterproof so easy to bring on hikes, kayaking, etc. They are comfortable to hold, and are easy to adjust when used by both my kids and my husband. The clarity is good, and unlike cheaper binoculars, you do not get any eye strain from these. These are the best binoculars we have ever owned. We use them all the time to view turkeys and deer behind our property. We are very happy with this purchase!

I absolutely love these binoculars. They are very adjustable for eye spacing and easy to adust for a clear view. Searched for a long time for lightweight and these are perfect. Compared them for night sky viewing to 8x50 Celestron that I also have and there was very little difference. Which of course makes me feel the Celestrons are not accurate.Big downside is the case being too small and unusable lens cover-reason for 4 star instead of 5. Kowa didn't anyone attempt to place the bins in the case?

I have one pair of high end binocs, but purchased these so that each member of my family could have a pair during a safari. They work well, and are at a price point that wont cause you anxiety when someone drops a pair (and bouncing around a jeep, that will happen). The eyecaps aren't great, not wild about the neck strap, but the binocs are solid and I cannot tell the difference in image quality from my high end binocs. I highly recommend.

New binoculars came with a broken/defective strap. Binocular sharpness/clarity is fine.

Would not buy this product, one drop on a wood floor and it was done for, obviously cheaply made.

A good set of binocs - smaller than I expected but they do the job. The center focus knob is a bit stiff, however the textured surface of it makes it fairly easy to focus. I haven't tested the water-resistance as I use these primarily for animal watching from inside the living room. I'm no expert on optics but the image seems clear and bright to me with no noticeable distortion.

I bought these as a gift for my partner who is getting into birdwatching. The image is clear and the binoculars work well and are lightweight. Being new to the binocular world, we don't really have anything to compare these to but I suspect they are great for beginners!
