FUN FACTS ABOUT THE BIBLE: This is my second copy (I gave the other one to my father in law) and is one of my daily enjoyable readings. As the title proclaims, it provides FUN FACTS ABOUT THE BIBLE. I recommend this book.

This was a Christmas present for a client of mine who enjoys her devotion in the morning & bible triva throughout the day. She absolutely loves it and is having a great time going over things and refreshing her knowledge. The answers are a quick glance behind the page which works for her so she doesn't have to search all the way in the back.

Interesting book. Bought for Sunday school kids and they find some things very interesting

This book contains a lot of facts. I was primarily interested in it for use with a group of children. It is a bit more advanced and in-depth than they are ready for. Granted it was a 3.99 book (the shipping cost more than the book) but it is printed on mediocre paper akin to cheap paperback novels. It's just not quite what I was expecting.

I thought it meant "pause and think on this" but I found out it doesn't. Do you know? Neither does anyone else. Great for trivia, bible study, and Sunday school contest.

I don't understand why, but the book had a terrible odor. It was hard to describe but our little one compared it to "the bathroom when Grandpa uses it." No kidding. I WISH it smelled that pleasant; sort of a cross between dead rodent and rotten milk. After being the object of "Find The Smell" in every room we left it in, and having a neighbor knock on our door to see if we were alright, we finally brought it to the curb. Wrapped in a ziplock bag. As far as the content of the book, some of the "Fun" Facts were just a little surreal. I was not aware that Mary and Joseph met on a blind date, or that Joseph was 50 years older than her and was actually more interested in Mary's mom. Nor was I aware that the Pharaoh had outlawed menstruation. Did you know that there were 14 original apostles and that Simon and John replaced one whom scholars believe was named "Bert". Did you know that the Bible is the most thrown book in the world? It is also the most sworn on, beating out even the Betty Crocker Cookbook. And something I could not find in MY Bible: That the expression "Jesus H. Christ" is erroneous since Jesus's middle name (translated from the Aramaic) is actually Gordon. Odd, but hardly fun.
