The Cavapoo Handbook: The Essential Guide for New & Prospective Cavapoo Owners (Canine Handbooks)

When we got our Cavapoo puppy during lockdown (which is exactly what we were told not to do!) this book became our bible! Make no mistake, a puppy is hard work and the Cavapoo is a very full on little dog.... We read it from cover to cover at first - I must admit my heart sank as some of the comments from Cavapoo owners are from, how shall I put it, very “dedicated” owners! Fur baby was not a term I ever wanted to go past my lips!! However, the main body of the book is very, very useful - especially to a brand new puppy owner. It is well written and informative.... the author has contacted Cavapoo owner groups for the comments so some are from the UK and some from the US..... as I said, some of the owners are very dedicated and treat their dog like a baby, but each to their own...! We don’t use it quite as much now as our pup grows and matures, but it’s there to dib into as and when needed. I particularly like the way it doesn’t sugar coat the trials and tribulations of a Cavapoo puppy and dog. Would highly recommend this book to all prospective and current Cavapoo owners..... in fact would go so far as to say it’s essential reading....

I thought this book was fantastic.I have read other puppy books in preparation for getting my first Cavapoo and none have been as good as this one.Very informative and easy to understand.The book is in sections and covers everything that you need to know about rearing your new fur baby.There was answers to all of the questions a new owner would have and too some things that wouldn’t even think about.If you want to be prepared for a new Cavapoo puppy or would like to retrain an older dog this is the book for you.I loved it and I’m sure I will constantly refer to it when we get our new pup.Thanks Linda Whitwam!

What a great find. Although we already have a cavapoo she is nearly 5 and you forget the baby times. I can't recommend this book strongly enough both for new and existing owners. It's clearly written with information that you can dip in and out of plus interesting back history of the breed. It's actually written for Cavapoos not a cloned book which just changes the breed name.

This book is a great size and absolutely packed full of useful information and adorable photosIts good to see such emphasis on responsible breeding, health-testing and the all important regular grooming required to keep these curly little dogs healthy and looking cuteI can't wait for the all colour version to be published!

This is a brilliant book, providing information from a variety of sources, such as owners, breeders and experts. It touches on many different aspects of finding and owning a cavapoo; from finding the right breeder with health tested parents, to the origins of the breeds. It is great to dip in and out of, with information on all the puppy period as well as a section on those pups who are reaching their prime, and all those things you go through in between.A good all round book, which is easy to read and to dip in and out of. A must have on the bookshelf in any home with a Cavapoo or if you are thinking of adding one of these special little creatures to your family. Plus there are plenty of pictures of Cute Cavapoos!
