Not the most comfortable but really fits a need
Always tinkering or fixing something and my old reading glasses don't always cut it. I tried cheap single monacles but those are a pain to keep on the eye socket. Found this and it gives me a better close up. Although it is not comfortable like others reviewed it is heavy and too tight for many. Perhaps improve the padding and make it a little more adjustable. The lenses are interchangeable but tend to randomly drop out. Fits a need for the the price good value but could be improve in the area of comfort and ajustability.

This is the best magnifying tool I've found
Provides light and sufficient magnification to make fiddly little tasks easier. The lenses (1.2X, 1.8X, 2.5X, 3.5X, 4.5X) attach firmly yet are easy to remove. They are optically clear and scratch-resistant. Other headband magnifiers I looked at have fewer lenses and/or include a 1x power - why would you want that? The lenses have a short focal length - you have to be quite close to the object you are viewing. The headband is tight on my 22" diameter head and could be uncomfortable if worn a long time. OTOH, there's no risk of it falling off. My dental hygienist told me about this product and she says too bad she didn't get one of these for work instead of her $$$$ Zeiss headgear.

Not much range between lenses, but still good product
I use this for miniature painting. The headset fits a little snug, which is a good thing, but can become a little uncomfortable after awhile. Construction is solid, just wish that the lenses secured to the frame a little better than that small tab. The light is handy and the battery for it lasts quite a long time before it needs recharging, but not bright enough to work in the dark! LOL! You will still need an overhead light for most jobs.Overall, not perfect...but not bad at all either. Better than a standard jewelers magnifying visor!

Works great
I wish I didn't need these, but my old eyes need help these days. I found these to be pretty comfortable to wear and to use. I've been doing some needlework and I have found these to be extremely useful. I couldn't do cross-stitch anymore without them. The light illuminates the work just enough to help me see well. I have to use the two strongest lenses to see the small stitches. Those two strongest lenses are heavy. It gets a little uncomfortable wearing them for too long. It is a good idea to give yourself a break now and then. Overall, I like these and recommend them. I could not do the needlework I love doing without them.

Way too tight to wear and my head is not overly large
I really like the brightness, the adjustable angles and the larger magnification. Unfortunately, the arms on these glasses are bent in way too far and are not at all flexible. They start to hurt my ears so much I can't stand to wear them for very long. I have had other pairs from other manufacturers and never had this issue so I was shocked when I could hardly get them on my head (and I swear my head is not large).

Useful product, helpful customer service
I bought these and the 4.5x lens had a flaw along the midline. When they broke I contacted the seller and asked for a new 4.5x lens and they sent me a whole new set right away. As a visually impaired person I have used a lot of similar products to this one and this pair is as good as or better than any I've tried. The two light modes, the 4.5x lens, and the adjustability are specific things I wanted and found in this pair of glasses. The drawback is that every pair I've tried thus far including these is uncomfortable to wear for long periods. I'm probably going to wrap some cloth tape around the earpieces to make them softer. I have a small head foran adult and they're snug on my head. The nose pieces can also get uncomfortable after a while but are actually softer than other pairs I've tried. I thought the addition of the rubber band so they can hang around your neck when not in use was also nice in this set since they can get heavy and most of my projects are too messy for me to want to take them on and off. Overall good value for the money and helpful customer service make these a win for me.

Poorly designed and has QC issues
Pros:The light is bright. Despite other reviewers having trouble accessing the batteries, I found the battery compartment easy to remove (rotate the light housing all the way forward as though you want to point the light down, then pull up on the back of the housing as though you want to rotate it even more, and you will hear and feel the unit snap free; then lift straight up and out). Lenses are easy to change.Cons:The lens/light assembly hangs too low if you try to wear the headband somewhat snugly around your head and across your forehead, like a hat, which is the natural way most people will want to wear it. This puts the position of the lens well below the level of your eyes, forcing you to look down to sight through the center of the lenses. In order to raise the lens/light assembly high enough to get the lenses to eye level, most people with a normally shaped head will have to tighten up the band so that it sits lightly (but not snugly) on the crown of the head and mostly off the forehead. The problem here is that even once you adjust the band to the right size, when you put it on it's only resting on your head instead of fitting snugly around it. This means it doesn't naturally just go on in the right position: you have to move it around to get it sit where it should and it's too easily moved out of that position if you bump it. It can also easily fall off your head if you lean too far forward, as to pick something up that you dropped. You might think that you can just pivot the adjustable lens/light assembly up far enough to raise the lens, but this then forces the light to aim too far up, and you can't get it to focus on your work. The idea of lenses that adjust forward and back is nice, but there's not enough travel unless you have a really tiny nose. Normal noses will require the thing to be pushed almost all the way out, so it's a useless feature for most. The 2.0x and 2.5x lenses are identical, as far as I can tell, even though they are marked as 2.0 and 2.5. There is no visible difference in magnification between them, and their thicknesses are within 0.2 mm of each other.Bottom line: I can't recommend this magnifier. It's not well designed. It doesn't just "snap" into the correct position when you put it on; it requires moving the whole thing around the head to get it to align correctly with the eyes, and can easily get moved out of position. It also has added complications that don't bring any benefit, and the quality control of the lenses is suspect.

Much better than expected for VFM
If you are a detail modeller these are great. Having had a cataract op, my eyesight has gone from fantastic close vision and poor long, to the opposite. These solve any close vision issues. Really pleased.
