Winsome Wood Claire Accent Table, Black

This is a nice little end table that I purchased as a night stand for my bed. If you’re looking for a no frills basic real wood end table with a drawer then this is a great value. There are a few drawbacks that I’ll list but the value is awesome at this price point so I kept it at 5 stars. The previous nightstand drawer set that I purchased before this one from a local big box store was letting off a horrible odor. By the end of the first week I was getting headaches so I returned it. It was probably out gassing god knows what chemicals. And it was double the price of this Winsome piece! I’m happy to say that this Winsome table passes the sniff test. There is no smell at all. I also like that on the outside of the box it lists that it is formaldehyde phase 2 compliant, etc. It matches the description in terms of natural wood color. It also has a nice shine on it from the clear lacquer coating that Winsome uses. I wanted to find natural oil only when I was looking but it was cost prohibitive for me personally and clear lacquer is pretty safe once it’s cured. Some of the reviews I read before purchasing this table stated that it was not real wood which I can say is not true. All pieces are indeed real solid wood other than the slat that serves as the bottom of the drawer - which appears to be some type of cheap pressed particle board. So let’s get to dimensions to wrap it up: this piece is small but has enough surface to fit everything I need next to the bed. The drawer has a very shallow depth however and many things other than a remote control or similarly sized items won’t fit. The drawer appears larger in the picture. The table is a bit shorter than I would have liked but my bed has a high frame so it would likely be closer to level with a traditional mattress and box spring set up. I can still reach down to it easily though so it’s adequate. This piece took me almost an hour to assemble. And that was using a power screw driver too. Assembly was very straightforward. Overall this is a great little table, ships super fast, and is perfectly priced. Highly recommend it!

I own several pieces of Winsome furniture (as well as many other brands of 'self-assembled' furniture) but this little accent table is perhaps my favorite in terms of looks and quality. I purchased this for use as a nightstand in my bedroom and it's a perfect fit in that regard. The accent table is made entirely of wood with the exception of the drawer bottom. I nearly tossed the drawer bottom away thinking it was part of the packing materials - then had a mini-panic attack thinking I was going to have to pack everything up to ship back because of a missing part. So, just as an FYI, the drawer bottom is a piece of white colored cardboard type material with a laminate coating (don't throw it out!!) Although it would seem too flimsy for use as a drawer bottom, it's quite sturdy once assembled; though I wouldn't recommend using the drawer to store anything unusually heavy. The box was easy to carry into the house and up to the second floor on my own; and I'm a light weight. Assembly was also a breeze as I was able to put this together on my own in no time flat; though help from a second person would certainly be ideal. It would be helpful to have someone hold the legs upright while securing them to the table top, as well as someone to hold the second level shelf in place while it's being secured to the legs. All hardware comes included but you will need a Philips head screwdriver of your own since the turn key wrench only works for some of the enclosed hardware. The screw hole covers (little, wooden, rounded buttons/domes) add a nice subtle, decorative touch in the finished product. I did find a minor nick in the wood on the table top, but it's hardly visible and it's been my experience that a few defects are usually the norm when it comes to self assembled furniture. Overall; I'm very happy with my new nightstand. The price is right, the quality is what I would consider to be above average and it's a very nice looking and functional piece.

I bought this fairly inexpensive table for a baby nursery. My first impression of the parts that came were good but I noticed a few small things I wasn’t largely fond of. 3 of the parts came stuck together (it seemed like it was a weather problem ... idk If it was intentional) we had to pry them apart to utilize them. Second, it was all easy to set up until we got to the drawer. The drawer insert isn’t the highest quality which is ok! The issue we were having was that the drawer didn’t seem to fit perfectly into the rest of the unit. When you pull out the drawer it’s easy... but putting it back in - it can catch on the outter unit so you sort of need to wiggle it to get it in flush with the unit. It seems like it’s a manufacturing issue but it’s possible we did something wrong. I think a way to fix it would be to get some kind of glue or liquid material that drys and fill in the parts of the outter unit that catch and smooth it out. The drawer would then slide right past and not get stuck on a small lip on the right or left side. Last little issue I had was that the paint might not be the best quality. I was putting the pegs in (vanity pegs to cover screw holes) and I used a little hammer to make sure they were in good and it chipped the paint a bit. This might be on the pegs only. If something worse comes I will update my review. What I will say is that for the price I paid - I feel it was worth it. It’s cute once assembled and the surface area is great! I wouldn’t avoid the product for the reasons above 😊 but just be mindful in case yours has the same issues. I gave it 4 starts because my issues are minor - and I know it will serve the purpose I need. Would be 5 if the drawer could go in without catching. I will try and add a picture at a later date.

Well-built, assembly is quick and easy. It looks very nice, and I expect it will last a great many years. I bought is a stand for my sheet-feed photo-copier.

This night stand is the perfect color and size for almost any bedroom. Easy to assemble and the price was good. Would definitely buy again.

I got this as a temporary nightstand and I plan to use this as an end-table in the future. One thing you should know is that this is a very small piece. I checked the dimensions before ordering, but just putting that out there so people aren't surprised. A lot of the recent reviews were saying that their table arrived damaged. I bought this with the mentality that if the pieces were damaged I was just going to put this back in the box and return it. Fortunately, my table was in good condition upon arrival. My problems started with assembly. The instructions were easy enough to follow so that wasn't an issue. The holes however are smaller/narrower than they need to be with the screws. Using the L-tool that shipped with the table got to be WAY too much of a chore. I switched to using my electric tool and even that didn't make assembly easy. Sometimes I basically manually turned my electric tool -- and the grip was better so it was easier than using the provided tool. If I hadn't had my electric screwdriver tool I highly doubt I would have gotten the table put together at all. Some of the screws never tightened up -- they would just turn in place. There was also a bunch of sawdust on the floor at the end so I know the pre-drilled holes weren't big enough. The package included wood plugs to place over the screw holes. It's difficult to actually get them in -- I ended up using a hammer to get them further in but then the finish started coming off of the wood plugs. Perhaps a rubber mallet would have been better for that purpose. Also apparently their solution for keeping the drawer in is a wooden dowel placed in the middle of the front opening. Honestly that makes no sense and I can't even hammer that in because you can't put it in until you put the drawer in, but the drawer is too shallow to let a hammer help pound that in. And then that dowel sitting there seriously cuts down on how much you can put in the drawer and the drawer isn't even that deep to begin with. Also the bottom of the drawer is basically a piece of thick shiny white cardboard. That's not a big deal when the drawer is closed but a thin piece of non-finished plywood would have been an upgrade. It's not terribly sturdy but I'm not worried about it falling apart. I don't need to store a bunch of heavy stuff on it, plus I had so much trouble trying to put it together I highly doubt it could come apart if it wanted to. I could probably put some felt pads on the bottom to get it balanced.

This end table is very solid and looks more expensive than the cost. Love the drawer and lower shelf. Perfect small size end table. I highly recommend.

If you are limited on space this versatile lamp table has a shelf and a drawer. Perfect for end table or bedside table. Comes assembled and available in dark or light wood. Reasonably priced and provides storage for small items to be stored conveniently.

I searched everywhere for the longest time trying to find the right size end table that was attractive, stable and at a decent price. I ordered two of these and am absolutely thrilled with the quality considering that they are not terribly expensive. Drawers are large enough to take remote controls and a few other odds and ends. Whole table is sturdy and colour shown (I purchased walnut although they do have other colours) is almost identical to the actual colour. Very easy to assemble except I stupidly used the wrong screws and put holes right through the top. Contacted the company, explained what I did and offered to pay for the replacement part. They emailed me back about a week later stating that the new top had been shipped and there would be no additional charge. Very nice of them & very generous; they obviously care about their customers. I highly recommend these tables for the quality and price.

El material se ve resistente, lo único que noté muy frágil es la base del cajón, todo lo demás es una excelente estructura. Llegó en perfecto estado, con todas sus piezas y bien empacado. Las recomiendo ampliamente :)

I have been looking for tables like these for a long time. They are very sturdy! Good quality for the price! Easy to assemble and look great! I recommend this cute little table as a nightstand, which is what I bought two of them for.
