I bought this tanning lotion because I was going on vacation. I got very tan while using this product and I didn't even have to lay out for very long. I like that it gives you a natural looking tan and doesn't stain your hands. Will definitely be buying again!

I have been using this for about 10 years when someone else introduced me to it. Someone else wrote a review on here that was spot on, so I'm going to follow that lead.1. This is not sunscreen. Don't expect it to keep you from burning.2. I apply sunscreen, then smooth the Maui Babe over top. I am dark, dark, dark in the summer (i'm a redhead that tans pretty easily, but this gets me ultra tan and looks so natural).3. I've never had it stain a towel, clothes or any bathing suits. Washes right out if you accidentally get it on something.4. It is a little oily, so make sure you rinse your hands after applying. I always wipe off with my beach towel before going inside so as to not get it on furniture.5. I've never had a little brown cloud around me when I get into pools. It pretty much just comes off, nothing noticeable in the water, though. Reapply once you're dry.6. Just like anything, there is a scent...but I've never found it to be a negative scent. I also never noticed smelling like it once I put it on. Let's face it, sweating in the sun will cause you to not smell like roses anyhow.Try it out with the above expectations and you'll fall in love with it too.

I absolutely love Maui Babe Browning Lotion! It smells amazing—like a tropical paradise—and gives me a beautiful, natural tan. However, one thing to note is that it can stain your swimsuit brown, but don’t worry—it comes out in the wash without any issues. Despite this, I still highly recommend this lotion for anyone looking for a great tan and a pleasant scent. Just be mindful of your swimsuit, and you’ll be all set for a perfect sun-kissed glow!

I love this product. I used it this year at Myrtle Beach. Its mostly natural oils, it will give you the best beach tan EVER!! After I came back from the beach I would be outside put some on my face and I kept my beach tan until November. I highly recommend.

My husband and I decided to go to Hawaii on vacation. The only problem is that I usually use fake tan but decided to try to obtain one naturally. I tan okay and keep my tan for a few days before it begins to fade.Let me break the product down into pros and cons that I experienced:PRO:First off the product smells amazing. If you love the smell of coffee, you will LOVE this product. It is like rubbing oily coffee all over. It does have a brown color to it, but it does not stain your skin. It will not work for a fake rub on tan. The product makes your skin sooooo soft. It literally melts into your skin. It easily applies, but due to the oily nature of the product kinda makes a mess.CONS:It is kinda messy to apply since it is oil based. Second, I got the worst sunburn of my life with this product. I applied it all over. I went outside in my backyard in the shade and burnt like a lobster - so red it was almost brown. My shoulders were so burned they blistered. The sunburn was so painful that I have never used this product again.I know everyone has different experiences with the product and different outcomes. The product smells so wonderful I wish it worked for me. When we went to Hawaii, the product gets such great reviews from word of mouth from locals and tourists alike. The tans I saw from using this product was amazing. But sadly, I will not be using it again

I have been using this tanning lotion for years, and I will NEVER switch! It gives me the perfect dark tropical tan every single time—no streaks, no orange tones, just a deep, natural-looking glow. The formula is smooth, easy to apply, and absorbs well without feeling greasy or sticky. Plus, it smells amazing, unlike other self-tanners.

Okay, so as someone from Samoa and having worked in Hawaii as a dancer for several years, I ordered this knowing that it would do what it is supposed to do. That being said, there are several points on which I recommend it:The shipping was fast and on time (I have prime), and in my opinion, the product was a bit different than what you would buy in Maui, but the quality is no less than that.Application-- I read several reviews commenting on the fact that it explodes when you open it, the smell, and the consistency. To open it, I didn't have explosion but I would suggest making sure the bottle isn't crumpled before closing it and to open it facing your palm. The smell is like brown sugar at first, but when I got to my neck/shoulder/chest area it started to kind of smell like soy sauce, but that doesn't bother me, it went away after a little while in the sun, and it doesn't have any affect on effectiveness. I read in several reviews about how it's oily and makes you feel "icky". Well, you're using far too much if that is the case. A quarter size amount is enough for my whole leg and I'm quite tall. A little goes a long way. It's not brown, and it's like a tinted oil that you don't slather on. You put it on like lotion so it soaks into your skin, providing nutrients and facilitates tanning. Your skin should feel soft and moisturized afterward.I spent an hour on a towel and I am already a shade darker. I would NOT recommend it for like a pool or beach considering when I got into the shower an hour after tanning, the water instantly washed it away. I don't know about a tanning bed, but I would assume that if you don't slather it on trying to actually look brown with it on, it should be the same as any other tan lotion.All in all, I recommend this product and the seller. It definielty works.
