Classic Shaving Soap Bowl

This is the best!

Great product. The best of all my hubby ever tested! lathers well and the foam stays on the face, making shaving much easier. It has a pleasant scent and leaves the skin feeling soft and comfortable to the touch.

To start with, I have been wetshaving for over 15 years and have used nearly 50 different soaps and screams at every price range. Making lather with this soap is very easy and the lather produced provides plenty of slickness and cushion. It's a lot less work than you might encounter with a traditional milled shaving soap. As to the overall shaving performance, I would say it's very good, though not quite top tier. Where the soap loses a lot of points is in the scent department. It has a strong scent of both laundry detergent and cheap drugstore cologne. If it were possible for WS to improve the scent, this would be a much better soap. It might even be advisable to forgo scent entirely and just make this a mild unscented soap. Overall this is a decent soap, but until the scent is improved it probably won't make it to my regular rotation and I probably won't re-buy it when it's used up. Too many other products out there that delivery on both scent and performance. One more thing: If you look at the ingredients you will notice that water is one of the first ingredients listed. Some folks have reported the soap shrinking a bit as the soap ages from dehydration. If you're going to use it up fast, this might not be an issue but if you have a cabinet full and soaps and creams caveat emptor. It also shows that the cost per shave with this product might be higher than some other more concentrated soaps and creams that have a higher acquisition cost.
