Worked for me with DataMarine-supplied 205kHz depth transducer
I had a dead DataMarine DART system and was loathing the thought of having to replace my through-hull depth transducer to get a source of truth for depth of water under the boat. However, I also didn't have an NMEA 2000 bus on the boat at the time and knew I wanted one. Companies have sold devices for this application. Unfortunately Garmin doesn't make theirs anymore, but I took a chance that this RayMarine might work. It is designed to work with a 200kHz depth transducer. The DART's documentation says it uses a 205kHz transducer. Fortunately, this ITC-5 synched right up to it and is showing me reasonably accurate depth figures. It didn't do the same for water temp/speed but I have no idea if that sensor works on my boat, anyway, and I really don't care that much. I am looking forward to hooking up Raymarine's rudder position sensor shortly, so I'll have a source of truth for rudder angle. One star off, Raymarine, for inventing a way to make NMEA 2000 proprietary. Fortunately the unit will talk on an NMEA 2000 network with the appropriate adapter cable. I chose to make one with Maretron's field-installable connector, and to terminate my boat's back-bone on the bridge with a resistor on this ITC-5. Soon I'll be removing that resistor and extending the SeaTalkNG side of the network to install some RayMarine displays.

Worked well integrating old equipment with new
I really didn't want to go through the pain of replacing the through-hull depth sensor as I replaced all my electronics with a new Garmin-based setup, so I got this to interface to the existing sensor. Combined with a SeatalkNg-to-NMEA2K bridge, it works great, and was trivial to install. Sends the depth info to the Garmin chart plotter as intended!

Can't get it to work
Installed it with our new electronics. All Raymarine. It will not recognize the transducers. We know the transducers work because when we connect them directly to the instruments, they work. I keep reading about a firmware update. Cannot find any more information on how to actually do an update. Very frustrating.
