Okay, so I am reading a lot of negative reviews. . .from a lot of people that don't know how to read manuals. The alarm volume and white noise/Bluetooth volume are separate. When you set the alarm you can set the volume at which it goes off. The dimmer is adjustable and I have no clue why people say it's too bright. I got the white and on the dimmest it's pretty discreet, so I'm not sure why people think it's so bright unless they haven't figured out how to dim it correctly. Everything is really easy to set up (time, bluetooth) and operate.The negatives. It is not hi-fidelity sound. The rain, thunderstorm, and ocean waves sound like there is a bit of distortion over the sounds. But its not terrible. You can definitely pick out the loop on the ocean waves, to the point where if you play it loudly it could be distracting. The Bluetooth works but will not sound great with music that had a lot of bass. I've stuck to classical that helps me sleep and it does a well enough job. Listening to podcasts works well also.Overall it does the job.

Our favorite alarm clock - bought this for my son and we all want one now - if it weren’t so wasteful I would replace every alarm clock with this one.

I bought the specifically because I need a clock by my bed and I love “brown noise” sound. I do not use it as an alarm clock. This definitely serves its purpose. One negative is that while using the “sound” function, it makes the whole room SO bright. I cannot sleep with a bright room and therefore have to use something to cover the whole top of the clock to block out the green light. That is very annoying! I don’t know WHY they made it like that. The other negative is that there is not a daylight savings time function so twice a year when the time changes where I live, I wake up to the wrong time and have to manually change it. My previous clock changed automatically.

My problem is the brightness and adjusting that, and it could be personal use I am not sure having a family member look into it, so I did go ahead and take away one star because I'm not an ignorant person, I wanted this because it reminds me of the older alarm clocks that everybody used to have before phones. It just seems to brighten on its own, and I want to make sure that it's just not set to do that and I just messed up and did that on accident. I don't even think you can but just in case. Overall the product is wonderful, hopefully my issue is just user error

I like the untit because of the integrated sound machine and Bluetooth connectivity. The negative is that is very bright even when you dim the clock. It's basically as having a night light. If you are used to sleeping in the dark don't buy this clock. I wish there was a way to turn off the green light for the sound machine but a piece of tape works good enough

I like the variety of of sounds, I just wish the volume was a little more. Clean, modern look.

My wife can't sleep without background noise. She was using an app on her phone, but I though it might be better to just have a dedicated machine on the nightstand. This unit provides a variety of different sounds and good volume control, so it does its job pretty well. She seems satisfied with it.

I like the functionality. We wanted a plain sound machine with alarm and clock, and this fits the bill. The size is nice, and once you are accustomed to the order of the buttons, it's easy to operate by feel. The only thing we don't like about it is how bright the readout is! We prefer to sleep in a very dark room, but you have to cover this up for that to happen. Even on the lowest setting, it's very bright. I'm not sure why either, because even in the brightest room, the lowest setting is plenty visible.
