I scuffed a brand new panel for my vehicle with 600grit, cleaned the surface thoroughly and used this primer sealer before paint. It worked perfectly in a 70deg environment with no runs. I applied it light and dry for the first coat and then heavier on the second and third coat. It worked great! I sprayed it in 10min intervals then applied a color coat after about 30minutes of letting it dry. Pictures attached are what my fender looks like after using this sealer in an old garage.....

I wanted to test out the actual color of the Duplicolor Metalcast Smoke so I got an old juke mirror with a "chrome" plastic cover that had scratches on it and did a quick degrease and sand job (about 5 minutes total for both) just to give the surface a prep to hold the primer and paint. This stil left the original scratches that were too deep for the quick sand job I did. I followed the instructions and applied three light coats of the primer with about 10 minutes between each coat. This primer is great! By the time I applied the third coat and let it dry for 20 minutes, it was still smooth and had completely covered the scratches on the mirror cover. I did not sand this but immediately went to the Smoke Metalcast with the same three light coats 20 minutes apart and then three light coats of clear 10 minutes apart with no sanding. The portion of the mirror cover that I painted looked fantastic with very little prep. This primer definitely fills in the small stuff and allows you to make a much quicker paint job or touch up. If you're willing to take the time to do the wet sanding on the primer, it can only look even better. I highly recommend this product.

In the process of restoring my '67 Oldsmobile Toronado. The outside of the car will be painted at a professional shop, but the door, hood and trunk jams needed painting first, and something I can do to save money. This sealer applied easily, dried fast and sanded well.
