Sandalwood Perfumed Talc, 250 g

Cornstarch based (baby) powders are not ideal as foot powders because athlete's foot and nail fungi can use cornstarch as food. Talc, a mineral, is superior in this regard. However, asbestos sometimes contaminates talc, depending on the source. So, it is important to not breathe in powdered talc. This is true for very fine particles, in general, because they can become trapped in one's lungs. A little care in application will go a long way in this regard. This talc has a pleasant smell that is far from overpowering; in fact I only notice it when applying the powder to my feet; I do not smell it later in the day when I remove my shoes or change to slippers. If this were not the case, I would not use it; I don't wish to be emitting odors, especially cloying ones - and this sandalwood is not cloying at all. The bottom line is I've been using it for years, and have been very pleased at its fragrance, how long a tin lasts, and how effective it is at keeping my toes dry.

The smell was not what I was hoping for. ( I am picky with my scents) I recieved the "Imperial Sandalwood". I was hopeful the scent would leave a woody scent. Unfortunately it was more of a floral/ baby powder scent. But the powder is of a high quality. Goes onto your skin smoothly and leaves a subtle scent on your skin. I do wish there was an option for this product to come with a powder poof.

Floral scented overpowers the Sandalwood by a great deal. Scent is not suitable for most men. As it contains real Talc, it is very inappropriate for female use anywhere remotely close to genitals. It could cause severe problems. There is a reason USA manufacturers use corn starch now in female oriented product lines instead of actual talc. Please keep in mind before purchase. Beyond this, the powder is a very fine grade and the scent is strong and lasts. 2 stars deduction for not putting a product safety warning in the description for women.

This is the 2nd purchase of this powder. Bought this for my 76 year old parent who loves the smell of sandalwood. The scent lasts a long time. The talc power is very fine and soft.
