A Well Thought out Umbrella
This AmaGo Auto-Open Golf Umbrella is one fine umbrella. First of all, it has great coverage for when you are caught in a storm on a golf course. The point at the top and each of the umbrella rib points is covered in a durable plastic like material which really helps when you are caught in an electrical storm and don't want to attract electricity. It opens at the touch of a gold colored button and when closed, has a cloth strap with snaps to secure it. Once closed it fits neatly into its carrying bag which has a strap for carrying it slung on your shoulder. It's perfect for a caddy to carry on the golf course. I recommend this particular umbrella for golf outings and any other outdoor activities.

Acceptable Large-ish Automatic Umbrella
I’m guessing this is made in China. There are no tags stating such. This is an okay formal/dress full-size automatic umbrella. It has simple and elegant styling, and deploys quickly and fully. It is not super-gigantic, but slightly larger than most standard, non-extendable umbrellas. The item has what appears to be a carbon fiber stalk and struts. It’s a nice look, but is some kind of laminated fiberglass, per the online copy. The deployment button is large, and a nice gold, so you can’t miss it. It is above on the handle and a different texture from the rubberized handle, so it’s easy to find in the dark, too. The umbrella deploys very quickly and fully. Recovery is just a simple pull down the stalk toward the handle; there is no catch to release. There is a small wrist lanyard of two loops of braided nylon. It is small, and took a little bit of work to get my average-sized male hand through it. The copy says this is a 59” umbrella. Note that they are measuring the domed run of the umbrella, not the much more commonly accepted umbrella measuring convention of the diameter of the extended dome. The online graphic shows this at a significantly less impressive 42”. My own measurement has the diameter at 41“. My regular umbrella is a golf-style large one that comes in at 53”, and that fits two Americans nicely. So, the online copy claim that their 41” will suit 1-3 persons is valid only up to about 1 person. Also, what in the name of fully precipitative inclement weather environments is a “double canopy?” (per the online copy). Well, it means that there are two fabric layers for the dome. I guess that’s good, I don’t really know. I thought it might imply that the umbrella is vented, as you’ll see in some large, golf-style umbrellas. Nope, this umbrella is not vented at all; it’s a solid dome all the way around. Because there are two layers of fabric, this item does take longer to dry, so make sure you dry it fully before you store it. The item comes with a thin nylon bag, which has a short, non-adjustable shoulder strap. The top of this cover/bag is split to allow for easy entry, but there is no closure. The bottom of this cover is open and elasticized for the rubber tip to poke through. The umbrella itself has a snap closure. The umbrella goes into the nylon cover much more easily when it is properly layered and snapped. You also get a full-size clear wet bag for the item. This holds the entire umbrella inside, from tip to handle. It even has a zip closure on the top to keep it all inside. The bag I received had a 1” tear in the bottom (see photo). The online copy says that their umbrella is “well water repellent,” but my experience has it repelling rain pretty well, too. Also, I have no idea what this “pongee fabric” is, from which this item is apparently made. It works. Documentation: You get no documentation at all with this item. Nothing. I got a little white tag inside the umbrella done that states “29” very proudly. If you’ve got a question or a problem, I guess you have to rely on online contact via Amazon, and this product’s page only has the “ask a question” feature. I hope AmaGo checks their pages often. That’s not very good customer support. Price: At approximately $23, this is a pretty good deal for a large automatic umbrella. Bottom Line: For a formal/business setting, this is an appropriate umbrella. It is large, so can be shared, to an extent. And the two extras of the cover and the wet bag mean you can store it quickly and easily. And you get all of this at a good price.

Big
This is a large umbrella. It provides a lot of coverage. There is a button that automatically opens it and that works smoothly. It does not close the umbrella, but I found closing it was actually easier than on some that do have the auto close. It comes with a nu;on sleeve with a strap for carrying, as well as a Velcro strap to keep it closed. There is a plastic pouch that it comes in that might work well when it is wet.

Good, large umbrella
I have a GustBuster umbrella of a similar size but it is getting on in years, so I was looking for a potential replacement. One thing I like better about this AmaGo umbrella is the carrying bag, essentially a cover with a long strap so it can be worn over the shoulder without trying to carry the umbrella in your hand and it hitting the ground because of the long length. That’s a definite plus. This umbrella does feel sturdy and impressive. It is easy to open and easy to close – I need to twist it just a bit when I close it to have it secure tightly. I’m waiting for a rainy day with wind before I can speak to it being windproof. The problem with large umbrellas is not that the good ones turn inside out but rather that a gust of wind will grab it and try to pull it away like a sail. Holding such an umbrella loosely with it just resting on your shoulder will not work My GustBuster has openings that help prevent the umbrella from flying away, but I will have to wait and see how this one does.

This is a man’s umbrella!
If such a thing is allowed to exist anymore, this is a man’s umbrella. It is beefy and sturdy, but also smooth and stylish. Without trying to sound like an advertisement, this is a really nice umbrella. It has a unique opening mechanism that opens smoothly with curved, plastic or plastic-like rods. One press of the button opens it smoothly (not too fast and not clicky or jerky. It is nice and big but not so large that it is unwieldy. The only downside is that obviously it doesn’t fold down as small as some of the ultra compact umbrellas available. But when you are getting soaked with one of those ultra compact umbrellas you will wish you were using this one instead. The main shaft looks sort of like carbon fiber. It is a really nice umbrella.

Very Good Quality
I like this umbrella alot (so far!). In retirement in my 50s. I have started to walk when playing golf and have one of the top level push carts, with plenty of bells and whistles. What did I need? A decent umbrella. This one fills the bill so far, but I'm not quite sure how it is going to hold up as the weather/wind worsen. So far in fair wind and rain, it has been just fine. I will update the review at a later date, after I get a good feel for how it will last. I love the look, the quality of it and the size (perhaps I will need something just a little bigger but not yet).

High quality, easy use
The 59 inch spread of this open umbrella gives you a very large canopy. The material is all high quality and the most attractive feature of the umbrella is a single push button in the handle that allows the umbrella to open and lock open with a single move. It collapses with ease and seems to be made of durable material. I was unable to test this umbrella in any true wind -- I've never truly believed any umbrella is windproof. You get one of those strong breezes coming in off the shore of the ocean during a major storm, no handheld umbrella, much less even large canopy style umbrellas firmly mounted in the ground, will withstand the wind. But overall, this is a really good umbrella!

This umbrella brings a smile to my face and reminds me of all those dancing movies
The umbrella is large and wide, but not hard to handle at all, even for a petite person. The handle is strong and sturdy. It opens and closes like a breeze. Storing it isn't hard. It's longer than the average umbrella, but not thicker. It comes with a cover in matching fabric plus a plastic one that you can put it in to dry after being out in the rain.
