Buen producto
Tengo ya más de un año usandolo y sin problemas. Hace mucho ruido cuando usa el reconocimiento de caras y hace las miniaturas de fotos y videos, pero cuando no hace nada su nivel de ruido es casi nulo.

Forget using QNAP Tech Support!
Emailing questions to QNAP Tech Support is a waste of time, in my opinion and experience. Their technical documentation explaining how their NAS OS is laid out, installed, how to access, how to modify, hidden partitions, how to add APPS to, in the words of Malaysian comedian Ronny Chieng: Sucks! The base scenario of usage for documentation examples should FOCUS on stand-alone private-class C local network operation & configurations targeted to promote such FOCUS, not the user beat-down with multiple NAS ops, Remote Connections, Internet access & and other Enterprise facets. Most Enterprises would choose a more robust model to invest in.Their Business Support was great! Shout Out to Roger Gonzales with Qnap in Pomona CA 91768 for his excellent business support during my purchasing of this product. The hardware I purchased, NAS TD-253D is SOLID, low powered and responsive. Has SAMBA server built-in for file sharing with Linux, Windows, Apple & NFS clients. This is a great NAS! Packed it with 2-16TB Seagate SATA III hard drives Raid 1 setup, 12GB RAM. Easy to establish dual Gb/s NIC teaming to double bandwidth, not speed, to and from the unit. OS & App software updates are very timely and so far have occurred without any issues I am aware of as of 15 Dec 21. I purchased the extended warranty out to 5 years from standard 3 years for only $99 US. Both Drives & NAS are now covered for 5 years. As long as you can handle discovering how to use the unit without Tech Support, I recommend this unit for home, or small business. If all else fails, it is easy to grab and save in case of disaster striking. Steven F. Sutherland.

The gloss of Qnap's marketing flac does not match the customer experience after purchase.
I spent hundreds of hours over 3 years of using my TS-453B tagging photos and videos with names and keywords, locations, topics, etc. I do the tagging almost daily because there's details about context that fade if I wait too long. I have a high volume of photos / images and videos I take in to my media library almost every day, my own photos and videos, and stuff I'm saving from social media posts, articles, things people send me, etc. - and the tags / keywords are crucial for me to keep things organized. There is no way to backup the info you add to your photo library. The tags, people, keywords, albums, etc...all get lost - and it can happen on any given update of the firmware, an app, etc.In fact, I bought the Qnap device in 2018 because Apple (insanely) decided to remove their photo tagging from iOS, a stunning dumb-down on their part.My motherboard on the TS-453B died 1 year out of warranty, so, I paid the $360 to get the new one installed.Installed the drives, no trouble, everything tests out fine, but.... all that HUGE body of work organizing, tagging with keywords, etc. is gone. All that time in QuMagie - burned, no way to get it back.I have two support tickets for this. One guy, asked for a NAS log file. Sent it. His reply is simply.... "Sorry, you have to rebuild everything".This is a case of a company selling their "features" very hard - without being transparent about the fact that their marketing gloss doesn't match the product performance.Qnap misrepresents their products and traps people into spending a premium for what are seemingly useful features integrated with their proprietary platform and systems.Even my decision to pay the $360 for a new motherboard was based on the advice from the tech saying that as long as my drives were fine, my data would be fine. That's $360 I should have put into a different NAS device.Qnap is not for people serious about keeping backups and using the NAS for mission-critical workflow. Even consumers just looking for storage should avoid Qnap products, as the premium price buys them nothing but hidden risk.

TS-253Be needs better hardware control.
I can say I no longer like this NAS. After several firmware updates this system never goes to sleep like it used to and the drives never stop chattering. Another thing, this system likes to phone home alot.
