bulky but good

I wasn't expecting to be this impressed, but this multitool has quickly become one of the handiest items I own. It packs an incredible number of tools into a compact size without feeling bulky or flimsy. The pliers are sturdy and comfortable to use, and the knife came sharp right out of the box. I've already used the screwdrivers, bottle opener, wire cutters, and file, and they all performed exactly as expected. The locking mechanism gives added confidence that the tools won't accidentally fold while you're using them. The included bit set is a nice bonus, making it even more versatile for quick repairs around the house, at camp, or on the road. The carrying pouch keeps everything secure and makes it easy to clip onto a belt or toss in a backpack. Took a chance on this one a few years ago, and have since gifted it to 2 field-repair guys. It's fantastic. Very few multis come with a good built-in knife- they're usually almost an afterthought, and fairly useless. Not this beast- the knife is a 3-incher, sturdy and lockable like all the other tools in this set. The pliers are strong and can hold up to hard use. The additional tools are all very solid and effective, including 2 different saws- we think of one as a cardboard say to keep that wear off your knife blade, and the other one is a very good tree-branch/etc saw, both very sharp. The 8 wrench bits are sized for max efficiency in the field or for house stuff. Definitely not a junk-drawer piece- this is a real-deal tool, heavy and solid. Recommended.
