A great item, but too soft for me I wound up giving it to my sister

I really really love this mattress topper! I actually purchased two on the day. The first one arrived a couple days earlier than this one and I was a bit disappointed at how thin it was and since it looked very similar to this one, I didn't have high expectations when this arrived. Boy was I wrong! I knew almost immediately that this was a far superior topper. For starters, it shipped totally compressed and it was still pretty thick and heavy. It plumped up beautifully and feels like laying on a cloud! There was no offensive odor, the fit is perfect and the padding is just dreamy. If you love down alternative pillows, this is the topper for you!!! The elastic is really deep and wraps almost completely under the mattress so it doesn't shift around. It's super easy to put it on the bed and since the elastic is so deep it easily covers our tall mattress. I received an injury to my spine over 20 years ago that has left me with chronic back pain. I wake up everyday with my back hurting and have tried countless mattresses, mattress pads, mattress toppers and none of them seem to make much of a difference but this one definitely DOES. I am waking up without intense pain and stiffness. It hasn't completely eliminated my back pain but I didn't expect it too. I was only hoping to decrease it and it delivered on that! I can't speak to durability since I have only been sleeping on it for a week or so but I love that I can toss it in the dryer to fluff it back up if it ever flattens. Well worth every penny. One of the best purchases I have made in awhile. It feels like sleeping on clouds. Even my pets and husband are wowed!

***This is my original review - edited additional comments below***Straight out of the package the topper was uneven - two side panels overly stuffed while middle ones where you need it were visibly understuffed; it also did not fluff up very much at all even after several hours laying flat. Tossing into the dryer as per the instructions did nothing either. The two side panels remain fluffier and bulging compared to the center which looks like it dips (and feels like it too). One good night's sleep is all that was gotten before back pain set in again. After so long with such an uncomfortable sleeping experience and thinking the right topper had been found, this was a massive disappointment. The one I received may be faulty but regardless it was not at all worth what was paid and does not look like the listing photo or photos from other buyers. Alas, the frustrating uncomfortable nights continue....EDIT: The company reached out and very kindly and generously offered a full refund to make things right. This was a very unexpected pleasant surprise (not what I would think a seller would do). The person who contacted me was very nice and made it clear the company wanted to do something to help, they were interested in finding out more about my experience to aid in their product updates, and were apologetic about my less than satisfying experience. I felt heard and seen and did indeed receive the full refund in a timely fashion. I can now say that while I had an off buying experience (why I still knocked off one star), my experience with the seller has been quite good (five stars) and I would recommend people to purchase from them in good faith that no matter what, you're taken care of. That means a lot as a customer, thank you.

Absolutely worth every dime, high quality

Looks and feels great at first....but I could barely tell it was there after only a few months of use. It's been closer to a year now, since I bought it and it has held up pretty well material wise. I was wanting the feel of a feather bed and should have just paid more for better. It is NOT comparable to the real thing.

Perfect fit and comfortable

At first I was skeptical because the price was too good to be true!!! This has made my firm mattress super comfortable and much softer!!! Seriously the best sleep I've had in years!!! It does run a little warm once you lay in one spot for a long time, but thats when I fling the covers off and enjoy the cold air for a while. I love the straps that literally hug underneath the mattress. The only thing I would say, is change the dimensions. There's no way that it's 4 inches thick!!! I even waited 72 hours before use.
