Surprisingly good crank! Chainring and BB, not so much!
I mean in an industry where all things are going up in price, it’s nice to know that there’s a very decent budget option if you need a replacement for your crank.Purchased this for my Poseidon Redwood (my daily driver) when I stripped the threads installing new pedals, and was surprised that this was actually an upgrade from the Prowheel stock cranks it came with. Stiffness and build quality are better! The chainring and bottom bracket though were kind of not the best. However, I quickly changed those out with another narrow wide option here on amazon and a Shimano BB MT800 which the cranks fit fine. Now I don’t get any creaking and lose chain line…holy cow I only spent a grand total of $100 for a whole crankset AND bottom bracket. Very pleased.

Good but better left for fixie
Not all chains work with this. KMC makes a chain called Z8.3 It’s an 8 speed chain that is 7.3mm wide. The links are shaped in a way that allow for the teeth to enter and exit the chainring without getting hung up. So far this is the only chain I’ve found that works. As a lifelong mechanic beginning on Military jets, an avid bike enthusiast, and as a bike builder….. I at times will roll the dice with items like this to see if they’re any good. This one is good. However it may not work with some multiple speed bikes unless your chain can handle this ring. The teeth on this crankset are very wide, single speed fixie bikes typically have a wider chain roughly 9mm. I would imagine there’s no issue there.. I was attempting to use this as part of a simple 1x7 shimano drivetrain with KMC Z7. Most 7/8 chains are 7.1 mm and 116 links. When the chain exits the bottom it would hang up on the teeth until the derailleur tension either yanks it back or the chain wraps around itself which isn’t really safe either way. I had a Z8.3 I hadn’t used yet so I tried it and was fine…I did read a review stating after a couple miles it was ok once the paint wore off, but I’m making new bikes for retail so that won’t work.….

Decent Price for a 2 Piece Crankset
These cranks fit great on my 68mm bottom bracket bike. It was exactly what I needed to change from a 42t chainring down to a 30t chainring. Now my Alfine 8 speed climbs like a mountain goat! I had to add one bottom bracket spacer to the drive side, and 2 to the non-drive side to get my chainline correct. All 3 spacers were included. I used a bit of blue loctite on the chainring bolts, just to be safe. I didn’t use the bottom bracket that came with this kit since my current one was ok. I wish I could have bought just the cranks and chainring minus the bottom bracket, but all in all it was still a fair price.

Non-drive side fell off.
I installed this on a GT Aggressor and it worked well for a short time but then the non-drive side crank wobbled and fell off. I re torqued it and after 1.5hrs on some green trails it ran slack again. I will re torque and test again soon.

Works great
Does what I need it to do. This is the third time I’ve used these cranks on mountain bike builds and they work just fine.

Good product.
I have had these on my hardtail for a while now and put them through a lot of abuse on the trails. The crank arm wiggled a bit loose once after several weeks of riding but I can’t say that wasn’t my fault for not checking the torque after a few rides. Tightened up and it has all performed flawlessly. No complaints at all.

Stripped crank
Went for 3 rides and crank arm completely stripped out causing the pedal to fall out during a ride. Would not recommend to others. No crossthreading or improper torquing/installation. Very disappointed
