Why is there such a huge price difference between the sliding leg and the turtle base?

Sliding legs are handy on staircases or really sloping terrain.  For that work, I just have an assistant hold the stand.  The turtle base opens and closes in about a second.  It also detaches quickly for transport or to swap out for a wheeled base.  I love KUPO's turtle and will never use another Cstand ever!  The additional machining in the base adds to the cost.  It is very slick!

Question 3

It says 40 inches...what about this is 40 inches? It looks the same size as other C stands that say "10 ft".

Question 4

I want to attach a yongnuo yn 565 ex speedlite to this kit.  do i need an additional accessory to mount my speedlite?  please be specific.

The Kupo is the best stand available in my opinion.  Great choice.  I use 40", however, the 20" is more portable.  The top of the stand is a "Baby" mount.  It's basically a 5/8" cylindrical stud.  Studio strobes will generally attach directly to this stud.  "Junior" studs are 1 1/8" cylindrical studs or sockets.  Larger heavier lights use this mount.  Combo stands have both.  If you are using hot shoe mounted speedlites you will need an adapter.  On amazon, search on speedlight bracket.  You will have many choices.  Choose one that will allow you to tilt the flash and hold an umbrella.  They are $5-20.00 and will last a life time.  The end opposite the hot shoe adapter is made to connect right to the "Baby" stud.  It is very secure.  I hope this answer helps.
