Hario "Switch" Immersion Dripper, Size 02

I was thrown off when I ordered this because of the sizes. I wanted the bigger size however the sizes listed were different from the Hario website. I got the smaller one and thought it was a mistake so I initiated a return to get the same size sent back. Upon looking into it, the listing was typo-ed. There was no size like that and they ended up fixing with the correct two sizes. The coffee part of this has been outstanding. I mainly did French Press before switching to this and by far I prefer this method. You get the richness and boldness of a French Press without the sludge or grounds. Having the option to have strictly pour over vs immersion is wonderful as well for when you don't want it as strong or rich. I am using a course grind and it could be the filters or maybe need to fluff the grounds a bit but sometimes it feels like it takes a solid 5-10 minutes for the coffee to completely empty into the cup. Overall the design, ease of cleaning, preparation, and flavor from the device is wonderful.

Might just be the perfect pour over brewer. The methods/recipes that can be tried are endless. Seems durable and is easy to clean. Fits nicely over the Hario carafe or even my daily mug. Thankfully I have a lot of options for brewing methods but if I could only have one, this would probably be the one.

I use the Hario Switch dripper every day and I love it. Being made of glass, with almost no plastic parts, it feels safer and more solid compared to many other brewers. It’s comfortable to use, very original in design, and makes a delicious cup of coffee. Simple but clever — I’m very happy with it.

Hario is a really good product. It’s easy to clean, the design on the switch is very versatile and can pause the brew like that of a French press. It’s heavy and durable.

This makes a perfect 8oz cup of coffee. It needs delicate handling, but the coffee comes out perfect with a 2 minute brew. It does come with papers so you can use it after washing. I suggest running some hot water the first time. I did notice a little taste, but it is fine now. The longest wait was the shipping time. I would buy it again.

It's my third version of Hario branded drippers. Tried glass and plastic - both types work decently. This is a game changer if you want to experiment with bloom and steep process and times. Easy to use. Seems durable (but only 3 uses so far). The rubber holder on the bottom has a slightly smaller lip than other models, so using on a wide mouth mug or cup can be challenging.

Been using Hario drippers for a long time, both the V60 ceramic and Woodneck Drip Pot with flannel filter. Both have been great. The coffee produced by the Switch is definitely a step up, and I use only the Switch now.
