TiVoC00270 Roamio Replacement Remote with Radio Frequency

Ordered for Roamio OTA TiVo and my TCL Tv. Regular codes would not pair TV. Found code 1206 paired and everything works perfect. Remote came 1 day, like new with batteries. Mediacom on front doesn't change remote, works just like original remote. Just has an extra key(On Demand). My original remote used 0091 code. I ordered 'used, like new' $19.95.

First remote would not pair with our Toshiba TV. Odd since our old remote was still working, just had intermittent operation on frequently used buttons.On this one, I put in the 0021 TV code as before. and it works perfectly.

No dislikes. No complaints. Great remote.

The only snag I ran into was trying to follow the Setup instructions on the (bookmark size) Weakness instructions that came in the plastic package with the remote. It tossed me into an on-line loop, that bounced me between Weakness and TiVo sites. It should have said, "Try Your TiVo On-Line Menu First." Instead, simply do as others have recommended, and press the top-center TiVo Button, to begin the setup menu: (Settings & Messages/Remote, Cable & Devices / Remote Control Setup / Set TV Power, Volume And Mute. From there you select a 4-digit code - usually there's a bunch listed - for your TV type and try it out. (Scribble at least a few code numbers down first, as you'll lose the setup screen when you test the TV code.)

I liked that the new Roamio remote has even more features than the original remote had. It was easy to set up and use with our Tivo Roamio DVR and works flawlessly.
