Q: There is not a lever on either the fitbit or the band as w/other models. Is there a trick to attaching this band? The hole shape maybe different

At the watch face the band detaches if you give it a pull. The new band sort of snaps on, doesn"t seem secure but is. I wish the band had more holes, I have skinny wrists and it's a little big.

Q: Has anyone else had trouble with this band rubbing your wrists or changing the color of your skin?

I've purchased mine a while ago because my initial band broke. I've not had a problem with them. I love that I have four colors to choose from and can change them to match what I'm wearing.
