HapeAward Winning Spring-A-Ling Wooden Bead Maze

Our baby and other children of various ages have enjoyed playing with this toy! It’s so fun to carry around and play with. It’s sturdy, a great size to handle for our one-year-old, and we have no fear of any beads coming off. It’s been a welcome addition to our baby’s toys and would make a wonderful gift for birthday or Christmas!

We were looking for something new to give our 19-month-old son to play with on a long trip. This worked perfectly! It didn't keep him busy forever, but definitely for a little while. I would put it away, and he would ask to play with it again after a bit. He was really concentrating on moving the beads around. He was trying to move the small, blue wooden bead at the top (you can see it in the picture), but that one doesn't move. It didn't seem to frustrate him too much because he moved on. He also really enjoyed banging it because it makes a fun noise with the metal and beads jingling. The wire was a little thinner than I expected, but it is plenty sturdy. Great toy for the car!

This is a great toy for a child right around 1 years old. We thought it would be a little bigger - like those huge ones that you see in dentist waiting rooms, but this one is significantly smaller so pay attention to the measurements before ordering. With that said, it's still good enough to hold a child's interest, which is all that matters.

The Hape Spring-a-Ling is definitely smaller than most bead mazes, but it is the perfect weight and size for the age recommendations of 6 months to 3 years. Our infant can easily hold and handle it, yet our toddler still takes interest in it and can readily bring it along in the car or stroller without the bulk. Unlike the product description, the beads are plastic, not wood, which is a little disappointing. It is a little expensive for what you get, so for that reason and the plastic beads, I gave it four stars. She loves the bead toys so we got one that had a wood base and she kept hitting herself on it. Either tripping or busting her lip. I needed something portable she could carry around. Is now a must have toy in our aresenal for her to play with. She loves it. Perfect size and is made really well. Will buy again for sure. Wish there was more like this in different colors.

Quality and good size to travel with.

We purchased this for my toddler to use in the car. He's never been a huge fan of his traditional bead maze, but this one definitely captured his attention once he discovered that shaking it produced noise, and banging it against his car seat produced even more noise! That being said, this item is a great size (not tiny, but a good lap size for a toddler), and seems really durable. Very pleased with this purchase.

My daughter doesn't care about toys much. She's 16 months, and toys don't keep her attention for long, but as soon as I showed her this, an excited ooooooooh, came out of her mouth (has never happened before). I let her see it for a minute, but took it back (cause it's a car ride toy for an upcoming long trip, and I want the toys to be new and exciting) and She cried and cried. So I just know this one is gonna be a hit!
