Q: has anyone used this on a glass top stove? I would really like to order this, but not if it is unusable on my stove top.

It will scratch a glass top if you're not extremely careful. I make sure it doesn't move. Otherwise it works great. Just use caution not to let it slide around on glass cooktop.

Q: Will the flat side sit on a glass stove top or does it have a lip taller than the flat? Would like to use it on my glass top stove. Can I?

It has a lip on both sides, not sure if you could get it hot with a glass top stove.
