Q: Are the armrests padded and soft?

It doesn't have any outer padding but it is relatively soft, though not as soft as a full padded arm rest. On the other hand, it not having any outer padding makes it very easy to clean; for padded arm rests, dirt can get stuck in the gaps.

Q: What is the seat depth from the back to where your knees are? I'm 5'8" and need a deeper seat.

I'm 5-10. Have 2-3 in clearance edge of chair to back of knee

Q: Can you adjust the lumbar support up and down, in/out or does it adjust at all?

Yes it is. It is angle(Not height) adjustable and removable.
